This guy below me is full of it
Dunwoodie is an awesome course. The guy from the comment below me probably tried playing from the tips and sliced all his tee shots into the woods, so he’s butt-hurt that he couldn’t break 50 on the front 9.

Terrible course
First and last time playing there…every hole has a terrible layout…the course was also poorly maintained and that’s a compliment…I truly wish I could ask for a refund because it was just that bad

Carry & Confidence
I’ve played Dunwoodie probably 6 or 7 times. The staff is incredibly friendly, the carts are in great shape, and the driving range Matts are some of
The worst in golf. That said, they got new range balls and I suppose that’s cool.
The course is short, even from the tips. There are 4 or 5 holes where you can drive the green, which is a fantastic confidence booster. With that in mind, the staff there doesn’t maintain the sand at all, so if you get in there you better be able to dig. I tend to play a ton of spin on my wedges, and 90% of the course is drive wedge, if you can shape your shots off the tee box you’ll shoot mid 70’s no problem. Greens are slow but maintained. I took a winged foot member there most recently and he left wanting to come back and play again.
If I could make three recommendation to the team at Dunwoodie, it’s to:
1. Redo the driving range
2. Fix the sand traps
3. Cut the grass more often, especially on 2. They claim 3 is the hardest hole on the course, but it’s 2.

Surprisingly A Challenge
Rating and slope don’t do this course justice. More challenging and fun than expected. Course in very good shape, although greens a bit slow. Had a great day.
