Pace of play
There was a twosome in front of us being held up by a very very slow foursome ( one cart and two walkers) I wish the ranger would have let the twosome in front of us and us play through but the ranger never came out.

Beautiful course
Course is wide open with rolling hills and holes are not as bunched together as some other Westchester courses. Excellent conditions. Only issue was the start - we were “double booked” at the first tee time of 6:50am with others, so there were at least a dozen people waiting at the start and we didn’t tee off until 7:05am

Nice course. Sprinklers were going on when we were on the greens and tees. Didn’t mind that day it was hot.

VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY SLOW PACE
I booked 18 holes and with my 2:11 start I thought I could do all 18. But then my group got to the 2nd hole and the wait started. It kept getting longer and longer to each hole. We got to the 9th hole at quarter past 5.
No way I'm gonna be able to finish 18 holes with this turtle face so 3 of us quit. Don't know what did the 4th player did.
Having said this, TeeOff, I want my money back!

Great Shape
The course is in the best shape in 20 years.
They leveled the 15th green.
The sand traps are now full of sand.
Hopefully they’ll flatten out the 5th and 8th greens.
They redid the bathrooms.
The staff is terrific.
I really enjoy going there.

very nice play for a county course
Everything was really good. I have not played here in 25 years. The only beef I have is that the guy taking my money did not give me the senior discount. I did not know the cost ahead of time. Partially my fault.

Great course
My foursome had a great time playing this very approachable, yet challenging Westchester course. Tee boxes are well maintained along with the near pristine fairways and greens. Dollars to donuts I’d be hard pressed to find a course offering greater value than Mohansic.

Public Gem
Mohansic is a favorite course for me and where I learned to play golf. Built in 1925, Mohansic is very mature and has greens which can be beguiling. I’ve been playing here since 1992 and the course has never been in better shape. Course is consistently upgraded and nicer than one would expect.
