Beautiful challenge
This course is set in wooded peaks and valleys with some great views of the surrounding area. Def a challenge as the topography of the fairways roll and there are plenty of side hill shots. Most holes are isolated and quiet which makes this course picturesque and serene.

Course Difficulty
Mohansic can be a difficult course for the “average” player. The rough was long and thick. Humid air made it difficult to get the right yardage.pace of course was slow for first half of round but sped up later. Good test of golf.

Surprisingly good conditions for late summer play with true greens (though a tiny bit slow) and well kept fairways. Hazards wwll marked and rough upkeep better than satisfactory Pace was good and 1./ way house had excellent hotdogs

Well laid out and in great shape. Crowded on Saturday but enjoyed the experience.

Mohansic keeps getting better!
I have been playing at Mohansic for several years. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. Over the years I have seen great improvements in the condition of the course. The staff has worked hard to continue making these improvements without effecting the rate of play. I make it a point to thank the staff and grounds crew every chance I can. They seem to be truly dedicated to make playing at Mohansic an enjoyable experience..

Could be fabulous
We started our day at the driving range! Based on the condition of the range we didn't expect to be treated to a beautiful golf course in very good condition. The driving range was one of the worst we have ever seen. We teed off just about on time. The carts were equipped with GPS which was nice. There are many blind tee shots here but the pace of play remained good. The fairways were in excellent condition and looked great. The greens too were nice and full. The speed was a little on the slow side but what public course isn't.. Pretty amazing for a course that was so crowded I might add. I'm sure with a little TLC this golf course could be GREAT! Upon reaching the half way point there was a snack stand and bathroom facility which was AWFUL! We played in 4 hours and 45 minutes which is acceptable. We did not stay for afterr round food or drink. I would love to see and play this course again.

agonizingly long afternoon
Two groups playing tournament ahead of our 3pm tee time resulted in 5hr round. Finished in the dark. Course and greens in good shape however bunkers hadn't been maintained for days.

Pace was bad
Waited on every tee box and to hit second shot.
We did tee off at 2 pm. Maybe the pace is better in the morning.
