Jacaranda West Country Club

My brother and I always play Jacaranda when we are in town.

Very playable and greens are pretty nice. Good value and other players are very friendly

I would recommend this golf course. It was in excellent condition and the greens were very consistent.

The golf course is in excellent condition. The greens were plugged with small tynes a few days ago, but have healed nicely. Because they were plugged these were the most receptive greens as far as holding the ball in the 6 weeks I have been down in Sarasota. I highly recommend this course, but pace could be better; 4:20 to play it.

Interacted with two staff - Pro Shop gentlemen running the register and the gentleman who was the starter - both very nice, pleasant, and helpful.

Course is player friendly, greens are forgiving. Nice sand traps.

Enjoyed playing the course - hope to return.

Jackaranda. West is in good shape from tee to green

First time playing here, enjoyed the round, course is in good shape especially the fairways & greens, Rough was dry & cut to a reasonable length. NO bunkers rakes on course (why when 2 per cart covid rules are enforced ?) leaving a lot of poor bunker conditions due to footprints. Course layout was decent with sone challenging holes, pace of play was Ok @ 4 hrs, partly due to the starter packing the course w tee times 15 mins ahead of schedule. Recommended.

Nothing but good things to say about the course and staff.

The fairways were outstanding. Generous, in great shape and green for January golf. The best part was the way they mowed them. They mowed them with a 4-6-foot-wide mower, mowing up and down the fairway vertically. Really gave the fairways a nice look. I’ve never seen this before - the fairways were perfect, all the way to the cart path. Usually, you will see brown grass, tire ruts by the cart paths edge – but not at this course. Also, they mowed the rough low, so it was not a factor and sped up play. The bunkers were also in great shape. Each cart had a rake in their cart, between their golf bags

The greens were firm and fast. Many of the greens were elevated and usually had a section that sloped off severely. Each green had a perfect, 3-foot green fringe surrounding them.

The course did have GPS. The signature hole was the 17th hole. A very wide green over water.

The course was very friendly and organized. They have two courses at Jacaranda – an East and West course. They have a white stripe on the cart paths for the East course and a yellow strip on the West course. What a great design to help you get from the starter to the 1st tee and from the 9th hole to the 10th tee. Very creative. We went to the 19th hole after the round and the lady bartender could not have been more friendly. We really enjoyed our round at Jacaranda West. Highly recommended.

This is a great course. Really well maintained. Seems like it’s run really well.
