Was sad
I have been going to Jekyll Island since I was 10. I love it! My favorite place. I have played all 3 courses lots of time and this was the worst shape I have ever seen this golf course in. They have had a really wet winter and it’s just a mud hole. Lots of wild grass on the greens was just sad. I’ll always love going to Jekyll but the golf was really a disappointment.
Coarse condition
It is a nice layout. Coarse was cart path only and quite frankly should have been closed for play. It was beyond wet. Because of so much rain it couldn’t even be mowed. At $70 a round it was beyond disappointing!
LOVE!
This is one of the hidden gems of Southeastern Georgia. A great layout; well maintained; tremendous pace of play; and the people couldn’t be any friendlier! I can’t wait for my next visit.
Thumbs Up
Overall the course was solid. A little soft and muddy due to overnight rain. Bermuda was still mostly dormant and the greens were ok for this time of year. I expected that...not disappointed. Beautiful day and played with no one behind or in front of our twosome.. Great pace of play. Tee off time was 8:22 am
Staff was great. Nice layout is Indian Mound.
Golf at Jekyll Island beats snow and cold in Pennsylvania this time of year.
Friendly clubhouse
This place has 3 golf courses you can choose from. We originally were supposed to play Oleander but after trying the first hole, it was just way too wet. Ground was just too soft. Gentleman by the name Al I think worked it out where we could play on another course (Pine Lakes). Oleander should have been closed. I think Al recognized that and he helped us get in a round in a drier course. The other worker working with Al wasn’t going to help us but Al stepped in and make it work. You should hire more staff like Al.
MULTIPLE CHOICE
DIFFERENT TEE BOXESA FOR DIFFERENT ABILITIES. EACH HOLE BY ITSELF WITH SCENERY. STAFF POLITE AND HELPFUL. NICE LUNCH AND POSITIVE ATTITUDE LADY AT THE 19TH HOLE.
Oleander Needs Better Maintenance
Most of the fairways didn’t have water on them but were very damp with a sparse amount of grass.
