Take the good with the bad
The course is in decent shape. The greens are ugly in spots, but they roll well and hold shots well. The carts are very nice with great yardage and scoring technology. Tee boxes are not in very good condition. Regardless, there is a lot to like about the setting of Jekyll Island and the staff is very nice and helpful.
Great game
I met a new player named Dennis he shot an 83 we had a very good time The course was great the weather was great and the cot girl was right on time
Jekyll Oleander
Great course for the money! But they could sure use a ranger or two! Got behind a foursome and they would not let us through! Pace of play was terrible! But course was good! Loved the layout!
7/9/20 Review
Tough course - tight fairways, very thick rough. Love the design of the course. A few greens had some damage, but overall did not cause any problems. There are multiple courses at this facility - hope to play the others soon.
First Time Pine Lakes, Jekyll Islamd
Last minute booking on Golf Now App, Easy to find, and really welcoming staff. Paired up with another 2 ball who were locals. Really pretty course, great value for money, would definitely go back.
Jekyll Golf
Indian Mounds course was in great shape today. Fairways were generous in width, rough was about 2-3 inches high and the greens were in good shape. The course is not too long from the tips, 6400 yds. Played early and finished in 2.5 hrs. with a cart. For a “Hot Deal” in Golfnow - it was a great round for the price. Plenty of wildlife as well. Wind can be very deceptive, trees typically block out what you feel at ground level but can eat up a ball if you get it above the tree line.
Run by idiots,,,,so what would you expect
No carts after noon!!. When asked why, the troll in the pro shop said....and I quote,,,,,"it's our policy".
So I guess these jerks feel that elderly golfers like my father should walk the course in 90 degree weather or come early and play on a packed course. What a bunch of bs.
By the way....their website is a lie....there is no longer 63 holes since some genius made the Dunes course the Oleander back nine and closed the original back nine........idiots.
A fine golf complex ruined by stupid state employees.
HORRIBLE CONDITION
1. Not informed of conditio
2. No rain but wet, wet, wet! Did I mention it was wet?
3. Puddles & small ponds on fairways & sand traps
4. Cart path only extend pace by 1 hour.
5. Horrible, horrible overgrown rough
If I could give a ZERO star rating I would’
Great time
Course was in great shape and absolutely beautiful. We really enjoyed the time playing here. It’s such a wonderful location. I will definitely come back to try out the other courses.
Good
Thanks for a great day of golfing I have already book for another game
Perfect play
My husband and I played a round at Pine Lakes-Jekyell Island and let me say love this course.
Staff was very professional and friendly the carts have USB ports for keeping phones charged and the course was one of the best we have played in the area. Fairways are just wide enough and cut short, the T-boxes are clearly marked and the greens..... Let me just say they are very challenging due to being faster than I am used to.
The course is surrounded by natural beauty and plenty of wild life for the nature lovers. My favorite was the growling alligator!
We will most definitely play there again and bring friends.
