Ka'anapali Golf Resorts (Maui)

First time playing the royal course. Price on tee off was great. We ended up going out 40 mins early, no one in front of us. According to GPS finished 80 mins ahead of pace of play. We had a threesome right behind us. They weren't pushing us, but present after 5 holes. Missed the signs for hole 7, across the bridge and freeway so we lost time !

Mostly uphill greens, got pretty breezy towards the end but still a great day.

I have played here a few times and really like the layout of the course. Today was a huge disappointment. We hade a 12:30 tee time and when we arrived we found out that there was a shotgun tournament that started right in front of us.

Needless to say, the round took 5 hours to complete and we waited on virtually every hole. To make things worse, the greens were punched a couple weeks prior and had not recovered.

I understand that outside events and maintenance are necessary, but had I known either of these I would have chose to spend my $300 elsewhere.

It would have been even more had it been before 12:00.

Generally this is a fun course to play, just not today

Easy driving course, greens rolling well, all holes interesting. Remember putts break toward the ocean, even though at times it defies physics.

Played at 10:45 and fortunately not a lot of wind.

Course was in very good condition and the pace of play was excellent. From what I played and looked at this was the best price I could find. The staff is very nice and look forward to playing again next time I can…

Excellent course and layout. Staff was great and warned me about the greens just being punched. They gave us from free range balls and bottled water.

The course was in great shape except for the greens.

I play it every time I come to the Marriott across the street and will continue. Highly recommended but will just take a two putt or better if we come a week after the greens are punched.

I really enjoyed Kai, a little tighter than the Royal but the greens and traps were in better shape. I played Royal the day before. No complaints but then I played better on the Kai

Fun course, layout very plain some interesting holes but was a nice simple course in great shape

Course in great condition greens a little slow had a lot of subtle breaks, as with most courses in Maui totally over priced but all in all a joy to play on vacation.

Since Kapalua had just areated their greens and the Royal course at Kaanapali was in the middle of being aerated we played here. The course was in very good condition, the greens were good, and the views were fantastic. The staff was very very nice and overall we had a great day!!!

Course was in great shape. Lucky it wasn’t busy despite Royal being closed for aeration.
