Maui beaches! Photo submitted by u000005546095 on 02/17/2013
Course was in very nice shape
Conditions were pretty tough. Winds were really blowing, knocking down lots of god shots. Greens were in good condition running pretty true. Putts break towards the ocean.
What a day!
Strong trade winds made the round even more challenging than anticipated, but what an amazing experience. The course was in great shape and I was reminded once again what a master designer RTJ Sr. was. Check your ego at the door, play the course as it was designed, and prepare to have a wonderful day. Until next time!!
5 Hour Round and plague of Nats
We played behind a tournament and there was NO Marshall on the course to monitor play. OVER 5 hours to play. Nats were everywhere and got in my eyes, mouth and ears. Also, Cart lady just came around twice. WAILEA OR Kapula are much better options.
Mahalo for playing M. Fazio and for providing the feedback to us.
Nice resort.
More beauty than challenge. Fairy wide and forgiving but not easy to beat.
Mahalo for playing Ka'anapali and appreciate your great review!
Mahalo for playing and taking the time to give us a review!
Great views
I’m just a hacker, but decided to play while vacationing in Maui. Read several negative reviews before playing. Either the course staff read them, too and took the to heart, or those other folks are just cranky. Fairways and tee boxes in great shape. Greens were recovering from aeration but were challenging without that. Played this course instead of the Royal course. Glad I did as the views were spectacular. Enjoyed the round
Aerated greens
We were not told the greens had been recently aerated and green fees were not discounted. Over priced fees for aerated greens.
Course is convenient to hotels and resorts but expect super slow play
They sound out 5s and 6s which slows down the already slow play.also kinda expensive
Yiu can play 45 minutes away for half the price
Aloha Franklin, thank you for playing and we certainly appreciate the feedback.
Mahalo for playing and posting a review for us!
It is best to get out early and the pace of play is faster-only problem is there is only one bathroom on each nine
Closest thing to paridise.
Did not have any bad things to say about this course or the staff. I would rather play here than Pebble. The greens were fast and true even though it looked liked they had been punched and sanded within the last few weeks. It was so nice and not crowded had to play 36.
WOW, mahalo! Happy to hear such great feedback, hope you shared your experience with others. Hope to see you again soon! Aloha
Windy
Course was in pretty good shape although the greens had just been aerated and sanded and were slow. The traps had hard packed sand which made them difficult to escape. The fairways were in great shape.
Mahalo for playing Bob, thanks for taking the time to give us a good review!
Nice course
Fairways and greens were in good condition. Only few spots of tire marks make your shot difficult on the edges of the fairways. Views are fantastic, specially on a sunny and dry day.
Mahalo for playing Ka'anapali and for the great review! Hope to see you again soon.
Thanks for playing and for the review!
Fun Ocean Views Track
Course was fun to play and had some nicely designed holes that would be fun for all skill levels. Great ocean views throughout the property. Greens rolled good about a 9 with the grain against a 7
Mahalo Nash for the review and playing Ka'anapali. Hope to see you again soon!
Play here twice and skip Kapalua
Very playable resort course. Not as dramatic as I expected, missing ocean holes, but great views throughout the round. Much better value than Kapalua Plantation which I wouldn't play again.
Mahalo for playing with us and for the nice review! Hope to see you again soon!
Mahalo for your great feedback and review! Happy to hear you will be back, a hui hou (until next time)!
