About Sea Trail Resort Villas
The Sea Trail Resort Villas are located north of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and south of Wilmington, N.C. The property sprawls across 2,600 acres and features three championship golf courses. Villas span from one to four bedrooms in size and are equipped with full kitchens, all within 1.5 miles from the barrier island beaches. Indoor and outdoor pools are available to guests at the activity center, which also includes a game room, shuffleboard and more. Units feature a screened-in porch or balcony. Stay-and-play golf packages are available to Sea Trail Golf Club's Rees Jones, Dan Maples and Willard Byrd golf courses. Sea Trail has two clubhouses with driving ranges, putting greens and a PGA-sanctioned learning center.Facts

Nice course, a bit of a drive out from MB.
Course was good but not quite up to expectations. Major construction project underway around the clubhouse, effecting the starting and finishing holes. Several fairways were in rough shape, a bit "lumpy". The collars of many of the greens were saturated, wet and very, soft. Still enjoyed the round though!

A nice layout. Greens were in bad shape. If I was to play this course again, I would pay no more than $40.

Nice course BUT somewhat disappointed
We travelled from Canada (18 hr drive) to play golf in Myrtle mainly to play golf and enjoy the weather and amenities.
We enjoyed the Byrd course BUT were disappointed that the greens were covered with bits of leaves and pine needles etc and it would have been more enjoyable if a grounds keeper could have taken the time to blow greens of impediments which would have only been a few minutes per green. That being the case we are reluctant to play the other Sea Trail courses.

Certainly someone can do something to make the first area you see more appealing. A little white paint. A weed whacker. I know the cart guys are pretty busy but this first impressions area could take some TLC. The range and putting green could be much better.
I thoroughly enjoyed the course on a wet windy day. I’ll be back — heard it’s under new management. I have high hopes.

Not Good Conditions
Jones in times past has been in pristine condition. Now they have ripped up the driving range and removed many buffering trees to make room for 30 houses. The course has not been maintained and the cart paths in several areas have been destroyed by earth moving equipment. Sand traps are washed out. I hate to ever rate a course badly, but this one was quite disappointing.

Nice layout, great staff
The course had a lot of construction goin on around it, but the fairways and greens were in good shape. The starters were helpful and would recommend playing one of the three courses here.

Nice course, but starter needs to do a better job.
Arrived about an hour before tee time and greeted cheerfully by staff at the bag drop. Starter could have done a better job sending golfers out to the course. Caught up to the group in front of me on the 2nd hole and they told me there were groups in front already getting backed up. I joined the twosome that was behind me, I started by myself, to help reduce waiting between shots. The starter should have paired us up if he knew what he was doing. While the course layout was a nice challenge and fair, pace of play was particularly slow. No marshals were present at any time to help speed up play. At one point, there were three groups waiting on a tee box. With that being said, I liked the course and would play it again.

Always wanted to play this corse
We had a tropical storm Friday and that place got hit with the rain it was foggy wet but I love the corse wood love to play it dry had a good day good partners

This course is in horrible shape and not worth playing I wish I knew how bad it was before I booked because it was a total waste of money
