Sea Trail Resort Villas

We have played here numerous times over the last few years and normally found the experience enjoyable. Greens have not been in great condition lately but are normally adequate. Now they are absolutely terrible (borderline unputtable). Also, the overall course conditions were poor. The greens were so bad that we won’t be back for a long time if ever.

Discourse you can tell in the past has been a really nice course. They seem to have let it go. It could be so much more and very very nice. It almost seems like they don’t have enough people on the lawn crew. Very unkept.

No water coolers at all on the course. The tee boxes were not mowed and literally 2 inches long. Entire course grass was long. Greens were so small and slowwww. The cart path was so bumpy and in disrepair you are better off not using it at all. Inside staff were super friendly but outside not so much. Lastly no driving range or chipping area

Good layout. The greens have been punched and lots of bare spots. I believe for the condition of course they should lower the price.

Other than being July and hot, course was in great shape. It is set up to challenge the average golfer. I would definitely play it again.

Great pace for the round. Fairways in decent shape. Greens need significant attention.

Great course. Played from the White tees and it was fair but challenging for this 14 handicapper. Tee boxes in rough shape but ya get to put a stick in the ground so no big deal other that looks. Fairways were ok. Greens very not very consistent. Some in very

Bad shape. If they sent some money here it could be a very nice 5 star course. For the money I paid $60 on a Beautiful Early July morning it was worth it.

Pace of play was exceptional; 3.5 hours for a threesome at 8 am on a nice day. Course layout was decent, not overly exciting but some fun short dogleg holes with risk-reward options. The greens were horrific. It appears they we aerated about 10 days prior to playing, but the had not been mowed in at least 3 days. Lots of dead patches and crabgrass growing in the greens, and the wet sandy soil paired with fairway length grass made the greens borderline unplayable.

The range and practice putting facility were closed but the course itself was in great shape!

Biggest issue was the guys at bag drop, they were the opposite of friendly. It was like they expected everyone to know what was going on. Was told multiple times to wait and it wasn’t until there was a direct question that they told us the range was closed. They eventually loaded the bags but didn’t make it seem like we could go get until 10 minutes later they asked why we were still there. Let one cart in our party take off towards the first tee before yelling at the second cart to go get them for going the wrong way because we were supposed to go off #10, but that had not been communicated previously.

Staff in the pro shop was friendly despite some card reader issues. Overall I would recommend playing there despite the issues at bag drop.

Course had aerated greens that we were not told about prior to booking Tee Time. Also arrived early to hit balls to be told range was closed.

Course was in good condition considering the hot weather for the area. The greens were beat up with ball marks that had not been repaired by previous players.

Very fair course. Greens were recently aerated… Bad timing on our time. Little water on the course but some. Traps are free of debris and well maintained. Cart paths are awful… if your irons and woods aren’t covered, they will rattle a lot! Tee time was 7:48am… snack bar doesn’t open until 10am. Made the turn at 9:30am… no snack bar then either.

“Cart lady” came by at 10:30am. Very friendly… for food: crackers, chips, and candy only - no sandwiches. Cash only - no card. It’s 2023… invest in taking a card.

The person at the bag drop was rude and very dishonest. We were an hour late from our tee time but we had called and was told that there were times available and that they should be able to get us in. However, when we arrived at the bag drop we were told by the person that was working that the next tee time available was not until 4:30 and they were super busy and we had gotten there at 2:40. We told him that we had spoke to Kevin who works at the counter that we shouldn’t have any issues. He also addd that he didn’t know who Kevin was. Anyways, we spoke with Kevin when we checked in and he assured us that we shouldn’t have any issues. We got on right away and did not see any other group the whole time we played. Just felt like the man at the bag drop wanted to make sure he goes him early. Not a good first impression if u want people to come back.
