About Sea Trail Resort Villas
The Sea Trail Resort Villas are located north of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and south of Wilmington, N.C. The property sprawls across 2,600 acres and features three championship golf courses. Villas span from one to four bedrooms in size and are equipped with full kitchens, all within 1.5 miles from the barrier island beaches. Indoor and outdoor pools are available to guests at the activity center, which also includes a game room, shuffleboard and more. Units feature a screened-in porch or balcony. Stay-and-play golf packages are available to Sea Trail Golf Club's Rees Jones, Dan Maples and Willard Byrd golf courses. Sea Trail has two clubhouses with driving ranges, putting greens and a PGA-sanctioned learning center.Facts

A good day
Played here after a night of heavy rain so cart path only . Course was practically deserted.Lots of standing water off fairways but still playable. Greens were in good condition for time of year.. Cart paths all paved and smooth. Lots of variety in the holes.A couple of the par 4’s played a bit long from the white tees we were using. The only negative was the closeness of homes on some of the holes but that says more about my game and probably not a problem for most..
Good round
Thought we were in trouble with the condition of the first green but they got progressively better.. Lots of variety and challenge. Cart path only due to overnight rain which was unfortunate because the paths were in rough shape.. Enjoyed our round and look forward to returning..

Great challenging course and friendly staff
Other than a few of the greens being rather bumpy it was a good time. Very friendly and helpful staff, pace of play was good, the only complaint was it was very wet for not much rain. All in all I had a great time.

Simply Splendid. Remarkable.
This course is incredible. Only thing better than this layout and aesthetics was the staff. All around A+. Play this course. It’s in my top three favorites and I’ve played too much golf.

Got to play Jones
Booked at Byrd course, got to play Rees Jones instead. Definitely one of the nicest and most challenging courses I've played in quite some time. Almost got 18 in at 3:15 on early March, nothing but good things to say about my round.

Elderly foursome in front of us - two players, 4 hours for 18 holes
Nice greens, plenty of water in play, forgiving layout

ghost town - aerated greens with no warning
Will not come back because of the poor facilities, lack of communication and bad customer r service

Enjoyable course
The course was in decent early season condition although it had just been aerated and the greens were still sandy. The layout is reasonably interesting, has few forced carries and there are appropriate tees for golfers of differing abilities. The staff was efficient and very friendly. We had the first morning tee time so the front nine pace was excellent, but because they were double teeing we had a long wait to tee off on the back and the pace on the back was slow. Also, there were no on course amenities. Overall average experience.

Surprisingly good
Course conditions were beyond expectations, The greens were slow but rolling well and the fairways were in real good shape for the season.
