Crispin
Pace of play was terrible due to a group of 12 playing in a scramble and not letting anyone play through
Summer Condition
In peak summer condition. Greens are fast, the rough is lush and full and the layout is great.
Crispin 6/20
Excellent day for golf. Course was in good condition and not very crowded. Scored an excellent deal on GolfNow.
Thanks again
Very challenging and beautiful course. I will be back!
Crispin
Best shape the course had been in this year. As busy as they were we waited very little. Only down part was the guy at counter didn’t know how to do the golf now reservation on computer.
Speidel - Palmer
Overall course was in good shape minus fairway on #2 which needs some TLC. Staff wasn’t the friendliest. Way too busy in course. Waited on tee box on 15 holes. On course concessions closed early minus the cart girl. Having played here before I expect more from speidel. Thank goodness I got a heck of a deal.
Crispin
One of my favorites to play. Was a little busy on this day, but not miserable. The greens need a little work to run the same on each one.
gone down hill
they have not maintained this course to its previous high quality.
HILLY
Reading the various reviews, I saw none that told you how hilly this course is. Wow. Mountainous might be the better word. They definitely need gas carts for this course. And the carts were quite worn out. Rightfully so. My main problem with the course was that it just was very unfair. You would hit a beautiful drive into the middle of the fairway and watch hopelessly as it rolled across the fairway and into the rough. The slope of the fairways either right or left was extreme. The overall condition of the course was good but there were some fungus issues on a few fairways. But the greens were really nice and putted true. And very quick which I liked. It rained on us during a forecast for a sunny day. That did not help. (Blaming the weatherman for that lousy forecast.) The staff is fantastic. Green fees too high.
Nice course however could provide a better upscale experience for the cost to play
Really nice course and layout and enjoy a really nice day on the course
My only feedback is for the most upscale course and price in the area could include range balls as part of greens fee and gps on the golf carts. I was quite surprised no gps system on golf cart for $100 fee during the middle of the week. My home municipality course back in NJ has cart gps and the price would be less than half
Also the club house is tired and not very welcoming as ione of the comments from a elderl member said to me this is very much an old gentleman club. I was going to ask what he meant by that however I didn’t want to ruin my day of golf In trying to educate the ignorance
Great course after a heavy rain
This course struggles in the hot weather due to only 1 small pond on the course. So if you are looking for a course that plays great after heavy rains this is the place. Par 3 tee boxes are pretty rough. Would like to see them put a mat as a second tee option. Plenty of off camber lie’s to test and practice your craft.
Best conditions are right after the rain
The course has only small ponds so if you book a tee time after big rains the course is in perfect shape. Great course, great for practice on uphill/downhill/side hill lies. Par 3 tee boxes are usually beat up but we made it work.
Beautiful Mountain Course
Palmer was in great shape considering it is only April 13th. It’ has an unusual routing with 6 par threes, 5 par fives, and 7 par fours. You don’t really notice the abundance of par threes since they’re all really solid holes. The whole resort is peaceful and serene with beautiful vistas of the hillside. For those who love a good patio for after round activities, this one is fantastic!
