No Walk in the Park
Woodhaven Golf Course: (Note: a local said that this course is probably the 3rd most difficult in the state behind Pikewood National)
Just played a round at Woodhaven Golf Course in West Virginia, and let me tell you—it’s no walk in the park! From the Black tees (6,784 yards), this course boasts a slope rating of 142 with a course rating of 74.4, making it one of the tougher layouts around. It’s got that perfect mix of beauty and brutality, with its narrow fairways, towering trees, and plenty of areas where the rough can eat your ball if you're not careful. I gave away plenty.
I played from the White tees (a bit less daunting at around 6,200 yards) and ended up with a 100—not my best, but I definitely earned it! 😅 The course really tests your precision and shot placement, which I lack both of. Unlike other courses with similar ratings in my area, like River Landing's River Course and UNC Finley (if you're tackling it from the back tees), Woodhaven is a lot more penalizing Those thick, high grasses and densely wooded areas are waiting to take up any stray shots, turning even a slight miss into a penalty.
If you're up for a real challenge, this course will give you all the feels of a high-level test —but with the added twist of mountainous terrain and hazardous rough.
Highly recommend it if you’re looking for a tough round and a course that demands both strategy and skill. ⛳️ I was able to snag a GolfNow Hotdeal and use my discount to play it for $43. #Winning

Great Course and variety of holes
I’ve played here 3 or 4 times and love the course. It’s got a variety of holes and is a pretty course. Very well maintained although the bunkers could use a good deep taking (they were a little firm). I’d highly recommend playing here.
Returned to excellence
Last year it burned up in the drought. There are 2 or 3 greens that have some rough patches but remain playable. The layout is awesome yet very challenging for most.
Beautiful course. Great staff. Hard for senior golfers
I was quite anxious to play this course, after having previously played the Cobb and Woodhaven courses. When we arrived at the course, the atmosphere was like a country club!! Very friendly staff, and asst. Golf pro. Treated us us like valued regulars, rather than first timers. We were told “cart path only” because of recent rain(and the fact that they have done extensive work on the property recently,it’s beautiful) for a 68yr. Old man with 3 stents, the cart paths are no where near the tee boxes or greens. Long downhill and uphill walks really take their toll. For a young man,it wouldn’t be so bad. Even with a cart,I was wore out after the front nine. Beautiful course, great staff, tough track
Mountain Beauty
One of the most beautiful courses I have played
Mountain magic
Beautiful course that we found by accident last year. Had to stop and play again this year because of its beauty. They have to other course there that we plan to try on our next trip. A must play if your in that area
Springs Village Stonehaven
What a fantastic course. Great layout and condition. There are two other courses in this resort. I’m looking forward to playing all of them next year.
Immaculate
This course is in immaculate condition. Would highly recommend 10/10.
Play it and Thank me later..!!
Awesome scenic track. Challenging but not terribly difficult. Greens weren’t as fast as expected but still good.
Stopped into play on way to Myrtle beach
We are on our way to Myrtle Beach and we stayed in Beckley, West Virginia, so I booked on GolfNow and found this gem of a golf course. Stonehaven was an absolute pleasure to play awesome elevations top-notch golf course in West Virginia.
