Maintenance
Had 8 maintenance guys in the way of 9 hole and they didn’t bother to move
Had the course to ourselves
My brothers and I played midweek in July at noon and never saw another golfer untie the 17th hole. Spectacular scenic layout in great condition. Greens rolled true and I can’t wait until I’m up this way again .
Course Knowledge is Invaluable
Fun course after a few loops around. There are several hazards and out of bounds areas that are not obvious from every lie. The course is in excellent condition. The greens are tough but fair. The lack of clubhouse and any amenities detracts from an otherwise great place.
Greens were fast and the secondary rough was hard to hit out of. For a Florida flat lander, I found it very challenging to calculate the distances and make good contact on side hill lies. It is a beautiful golf course.
Excellent value and superb course
Great stop off point for trips traveling I-77 thru WV.
Drive, 4pm golf, drive or golf at 10am next day.
Will definitely be back next trip, just be sure you know exactly where the course is.

Great course
Great course. Had the place to myself it felt like. No pace issues, played at my own steady pace the whole 18. Only complaint about this place is lack of driving range access and lack of concessions or drinks to buy at turn or elsewhere.
Always a favorite!
I was on my way through WV and wanted to stop for 18 since I was going to be near Glade but had seen where they had recently punched the greens at Stonehaven. I was hesitant but after a quick chat with Matt F, he assured me that they were in good condition along with the rest of course and wow, he was was not wrong. I couldn’t tell the first green had even been punched, it felt like it was a little slower due to recent rain and not aerification. I got lucky and was paired with two awesome locals who had a lot of course and local knowledge so it made for a great round. All in all great shape! I would have never believed I was there 2 weeks post aerification and heavy rain.
Very Nice Course
Unique course in the Glade Spring resort. Very picturesque. Not much of a pro shop to get anything. Pro Shop attendant and starter were very friendly and courteous. Little more forgiving than the Woodhaven course that we played the previous day. Would definitely go back to play if I am in the area again
I shoulda checked before scheduling.
After committing to play, I find that it is "cart path only" when I arrive at the course. This course is quite hilly and involves a lot of uphill and downhill walking even if you hit the fairway every time.
Some holes could've easily accommodated cart travel. Other holes had moist areas -- those holes could be "cart path only." So the two of us, 82 and 87 year old guys got quite a workout. But the kicker is that, evidently, that cart path only rule only applies to those of us who are not property owners. The threesome behind us were using self-owned carts and were NOT adhering to "cart path only." The takeaway? -- check beforehand as to the course conditions. I didn't. BTW.....the course is NOT walkable.
GREENS HAVE BEEN PUNCH!!!
All in all it was it nice round with good weather. Although it would have been nice to of had a heads up that the greens had been punched 7 days ago. Might try it again in a few weeks after greens heal up.
I recommend calling the clubhouse and asking about the greens b4 you pay to play in the next 2 weeks, cause they wont bring it up to ya in conversation
Beautiful!
Every tee shot is worthy of a post card. Had the course to myself. Perfect day.
Id recommend a bright colored ball in the fall. Lost lots of balls off the edge of the fairway.
