If you struggle to translate practice to the course, try Nathalie Sheehan’s “hinge up, tip and turn” drill to become a more consistent ball-striker.

I hit the ball great when doing the drill, however still having trouble taking to my regular swing. Any ideas Natalie?
Thank you for the frontal view of the swing. That cleared up a few misconceptions that I had!
I did this on the range yesterday and was amazed at how well it worked. I was hitting high, well struck shots with a little draw to them, much better than regular swings. I will definitely be working this drill some more, and I only wish you weren't 2,000 miles away. A couple lessons with you would probably make big improvements in my game.
Great tip
Super Tip ! Even done at slow speed this one helped me get a better contact.
Clay, does this drill work with hybrid irons?
Do you swing "for real" with 3 fingers - you hear commentators talking on air about a 3 finger hit?
Excellent drill, Natalie! I love the simplicity of the motion...so easy to set the swing in proper motion.
