Righthanded player, left eye dominant here. This is excellent. If the current ice age ever ends here in PA I will be working on this... Sometimes I feel like I lose my sightline when I get over the ball. Thank you! I learned about eye dominance when I was 12 years old (48 years ago...). I was hunting with my dad and learning how to shoot a shot gun with both eyes open. I shot righthanded and my dad & I couldn't figure out why I wasn't hitting a paper plate 15 or so yards away (his buddy started sarcastically calling me Dead-Eye because I was such a terrible shot). After much frustration, Dad told me to switch to shooting lefty and I was all over the plate - same thing if I shot righthanded and closed my dominant left eye. I have been interested in this topic ever since. Thanks again!

What exactly do you mean "walk into the ball open"?

Cindy, great video. I’ve struggled with aiming right of my target my whole life. One thing though. You talked about walking into the stance open, but I don’t think you showed us the difference in walking in open vs. closed. Do you mean open like we would setup for a fade with feet, hips and shoulders left of the target or something else?

Glad someone addressed this - I’m also left eye dominant and play right handed (something about Euro parenting suggesting I should favor my right hand when I was much younger). Now if I could only play half or as quarter as good as Jack !!
11 years previous law enforcement, tons and tons of shooting, and you explained this perfectly and applied marksmanship language to golf "shooting". Well done.
