Carolin, in the many years in the game, this is the most helpful "lesson" yet. My tremendous appreciation of this. When I follow your direction, I wonder about the ball? Does it just get in the way or is there an additional movement through the ball. Thank you so much. Jack S.
Great stuff Carolin! Excellent video that breaks down the importance of a neutral bottom hand. Recently adjusted my bottom hand from a stronger grip to a more neutral position and have seen my accuracy, length, and GIRs increase significantly.
BravoZulu - Wish this had been taught when I was a beginner - Simple - Effective & Easy to Remember - Thanks !
Hi Carolin, great video on hinging on the backswing! However, I think my problem is how I hinge on the downswing. I feel that at impact I am hinging my wrists from right to left instead of up which is causing me to hit many iron shots to the left. Is there a good drill for improving this problem?
Carolin, I see you are now on GolfPass. Congrats! MY swing videos never show much hinge in the backswing. I have a video on CoachNow with a lesson from Martin Chuck from 2021. He said I need the upward part of the hinge. He said I have the rotational part of it. Even today my videos show a lifting up of the club on takeaway with my arms. I bought Ledbetter's Straightaway to improve takeaway but was shanking trying to use it. Help! I will work on my grip to see if I can find that natural hinge you describe. Thank you
