How do I control the hybrid at impact with full backswing? 3 out of 10 times, I top it up at impact.

Should a hybrid leave a divot forward of the ball, or just "burn" the grass a bit?

Martin,
Thank you I really enjoy your segments. This one is close to home as I have been hitting my hybrids thin more this year. What are tips to accomplish the slight downward impact you just described?

I have as tendency to hit behind the ball, which doesn't work well with tight lies. Slould I use a 5 iron or choke down on a 5 hybrid for the same distance?

?name=T%20G&rounded=true

so.. to strike the ball slightly downward, am I setting up like a 7 iron, 5 iron or more forward, or are you suggesting I change my swing path?

Hi Martin
What is the correct set up to achieve the downward angle of attack required
Thanks

Is ball position center or slightly forward? And is shafts angle a little forward or straight up? My hybrid seems to want to set up without any forward lean. Thx.

Hi Martin, related issue, when trying to focus on a downward strike I often do what feels like turning my hips too aggressively on the downswing resulting in a push. Any advice on the timing issue, or what to search for in the archives (I didn’t see much under “push”). Thanks

Hi Martin; fellow Canuck!
I've struggled with ground interaction over the yrs in not posting on the back leg well (trail knee gives out). In your prior max distance vid are u saying the rear foot in transition, counter-rotates against the target/ground - while the knee extends?
