Martin, I know there will be some variability in your answer. However is there a swing speed that you would say you should generate to hit a 3 wood well. Thanks, Eddie

If you start with a 20 degree hybrid what should be the loft of the next club down, and does that spread of degrees apply to the entire set?
Martin, I still have a 3-Wood in my bag. My swing speed is around 99mph. I am 70 years old. I can hit my 3-Wood pretty well most of the time but it is a more difficult club to hit. Should I re-think the club and go to a Hybrid?
Thanks for the demonstration of the importance of club head speed in relation to distance gained using a 3 wood. Does the shaft flex enter the equation, Would a lighter senior flex shaft affect the distance for an older golfer using a 3 wood?
Does the same principle apply to irons - ie is it better for lower speed players to use a 30 degree hybrid than a 6 iron ?
so on the 3 wood versus the hybrid, they hybrid traveled farther in the air because it is a higher degree lofted club correct? I am new to the game and was wondering why the driver is the club that goes the furtherest but you are saying a hybrid may be a better choice
Martin is it possible to understand shaft types and club types to use without a fitting? I am 54, swing a bit over 100 mph. My shafts are regular flex and I have been told I should switch to a stiffer shaft. Thoughts?
