Andrew Rice shows how a twist to the wrist can help you avoid the weak, open face contact that will lead to a slice. Make this change and start hitting it longer instantly.

I love this tip. It has made my ball striking more crisp, but I have been pulling a lot of my irons. Is this a body rotation issue? Thanks
Brilliant! I don't tend to slice, but do feel like this will help me compress the ball better, with a lower ball flight & slightly more distance. Thank you.
Great tip! My ? is: as the grip is stronger and the wrist bended forward at impact when/where should the ball strike occur in the swing- as I slice it and was thinking that my impact was too early with a slight "L" position, even with a wrist bend forward, would I still slice?
I love how they say leave comments and then very rarely answer them. I like everyone else is wondering if this tip can also be applied to Driver/Woods. Especially that hard to tame driver where I always seem to leave the face open and here comes the slice-o-rama.
Thanks Andrew — this was something I had been working on for some time but this confirms to me that this is definitely the right way to go. Thanks so much for explaining it in a clear manner and making it easy to understand. Take care, Dave S.
Is it OK to bow the wrist as I setup? I have done this and it seems to help the ball striking.
Does the twist of the wrist apply to driving also
Hi Andrew,
This is a great tip but my problem is the opposite. Flipping the ball over in a snappish how. Is there a similar drill to fix that? Many thanks Steve
I try to work that flat wrist into my swing BUT are you controlling the club with the right or left hand?
Hi Andrew. I like your training tips! I hit my wood really well (driver thru 7 wd & hybrids). I struggle with irons (7,8, 9 PW). Good with full swing with 56 wedge. The 3 finger rotation & pronated wrist sound right conceptually -but how do I trigger it in my swing?
Thanks!
