Erika Larkin explains why you should not be afraid to have a fast backswing. Use that momentum created in the backswing to hit longer drives!

Daily Video Tips

EZ to understand, Nathalie's videos/instruction is like a new club, can't wait to try it out!
That slow takeaway was plaguing me at a recent event. Wish I seen this video midway. On the last day, in utter frustration, I just started swinging away and the shots improved. This instruction organizes that frustration into a real lesson! Thanks.
Like the tip but get confused with this versus "releasing" the golf club. Seems this works against this release? Yes more solid but less club head speed and distance?
Thnx Wayne
Thanks Erica. Awesome tip!
Like this drill a lot! Would like to hear any future comments on weighted club or weighted training aids to increase club head speed.
G'day Erika,
My Golf started in the era of slowly back etcetera. I have been working towards what you are teaching and regaining some of the distance lost of the tee.
I have an orange whip trainer which is encouraging this way of playing.
Should we have a fast backswing with irons as well as with the driver?
Just went to the driving range and ..... it worked! I had a slow - slow - fast swing, with mixed results. Changing it to your fast - slow- fast suggestion made an instant difference. I hit them straighter and farther!
Great tip ...
Thanks
Your tips are always concise and to the point. I wish I were closer to get some instruction.
