Martin,

I used this ' pounding' imagery for my first drive of the year in chilly Wisconsin today and hit a brilliant down the middle drive. I played nine holes walking and didn't miss a drive!! I'm prone to going over the top so I'm excited to be introducing this new tactic going forward. Great tip - thank you.

Hi Martin,
My only question / concern is that it appears as though this move seems like "casting" the club. I appreciate any clarification you can provide. Thank you.

Hi Martin,
Does this down swing (e.g. Pound the post), always produce a draw or a slight draw? I'd like to incorporate that into my swing options for those shots that require a slight left to right/dogleg right (I'm a lefty so left to right is your opposite). Will that be the right strategy?

I have asked the same question twice because I forgot to check the "notify me when someone replies to my comment" option. Thx again

Good exercise to start downswing. Hip rotation should have started also. Best rule: never hit a draw (or fade) when an accidental “straight” engages a hazard!

Great tip!

Martin, is that the same way to do it with the irons?
good job I love the way you explain us.

Martin, it seems to me if start the down swing with my arms, (hammer the post) I would be more likely to swing with my arms (something I am trying to eliminate). Obviously I need to incorporate my lower body, but I don’t want to stuck after i hammer the post. Suggestions?

Love this.
