Presidential at Hickory Valley Golf Club

For the time of year, the course was in fantastic shape. HVGC Ambassador is a beautiful course, with rolling hills and pretty water features, but if your not paying attention to yardage on every shot you are in trouble. This course is a beast because you have to be very accurate to succeed -- hitting fairways is key! Beautiful course, well kept, friendly staff, but hit your shots accurately and in the fairway or you'll be posting a big number.

This course was a lot of fun! The layout was great had a blast for my first time. Still fairly muddy so had quite a few bad hit from mud shots. Overall awesome time will play again

The Presidential was as challenging as advertised. Great opportunity to test out my Qi35 off the White tees. I was essentially the only one on the course. Liked the shapes of the various long pars. I look forward to getting back on the Presidential.

I played the ambassador course today and I must say, it was a very well put together course. Some challenging holds were very narrow the greens and I mean all of them, we're in great shape the food was good the staff was friendly and I will certainly play the scores again.

I played this course last year and had high expectations for this round I left terribly disappointed. The greens were in terrible shape. The fringe was non-existent or diseased as were a lot of the greens. The tee boxes were in terrible shape, uncut and very uneven. The fairways needed help too. I played this last year and was pleasantly surprised by how nice the course was. The overall layout is a great mix of play making shots but as of right now that’s all it is. It’s a course that is in desperate need of some grounds keeping! It is no where near worth the 80 dollars to play on a weekend. I don’t like giving low or bad reviews but this course needs some help right now.

In much better condition than the other course on site, the Ambassador. Tee boxes were a little beat up but manageable. Always enjoy this layout. Will definitely look to play this one again.

Made a reservation for 7:50 on golf now. When we got to the course we noticed there was a golf outting ready to go out. The person at the desk in the club house said they had no booking for 7:50 and everyone who could go out before the group outing had already went out. No resolution was offered. He told me I had to dispute the charge and cancelling with golf now and did not care at all.

12 handicap and struggled to break 90..! It’s a very unique and very challenging course. All the Par fives except for one force you to hit an iron or wood off the tees because of water or hazards, which I did like. It made it more challenging. However, 3 of the tees shots are basically unfair even from the whites. If you can hit a five wood 220 to 230 consistently straight, you will play well here.. I only hit my driver. I believe four times the whole round.. I will definitely play here again but again it’s very difficult

fairways were a little rough with some areas that were dead grass or dirt, but all in all solid conditions. Greens were in great shape and tee boxes were decent. Sand traps were a little on the hard side and needed to be raked and fluffed.
