Sweet Water Golf Course

It was a little touch and go as far as making our arranged starting time. Spouse and I were driving from NY to PA for a graduation in Pottstown / Gilbertsville. We had a great trip down w normal pit stops but as we got closer to course we hit small road construction that brought us to a stop. Called the coursl to alert them to our dilemma, they replied no problem we'get you on, when you come. Actually made our start time. Next day my daughter from NC wanted to play so we chose Sweet Water again. Staff was great and accommodating.

Great place for beginners. I brought my wife for her first time out and everything was fine. I just didn’t like that the holes were not numbered.

Great prices. Great place to get a quick practice round in. More fun than a couple buckets at the driving range.

Course I’m good shape for this early in the season!

Greens are actual greeegs and the fairways are a great length

$55 and change for 2 people to play 9 holes with a cart and that was off the golf now app. At the course I’d imagine is higher. Better value and much better conditions at Worcester for similar 9 hole experience. Golf Now doesn’t include a cart with their pricing FYI. Course is pretty bad. Food at Sweetwater grill is decent.

I enjoy taking my son here, who just started playing. You must have a gps device or rangefinder because, there are no yardage markers anywhere in the fairways. Hit a couple “perfect” shots that either went over the greens or short bc I had no idea on yardage.

This hidden gem, while easy to get to, still took me almost a solid hour to drive from Delaware county outside of Philadelphia. I liked playing it so much that I then invited three other people to join me the very next day to play it again. It's a very simple course layout and it's very easy to score well on the course. I shot a 78, whereas I normally play in the mid 80's. What made it so nice was that the closer you got to the pin, the nicer the conditions of the course became. What I mean is the greens were in very good shape. The bunkers all had brand new sand in them to make him nice and fluffy and the aprons surrounding the greens were well taken care of. It's a shame that some of their fairways had suffered some disease, but you could still find plenty of quality fairway grass to move your ball on to if need be.

I thoroughly enjoyed playing there and wish that it was closer to where I live as I would play there on a very regular basis. I think the green fees are extremely reasonable, especially if you're a senior like me. The course is very walkable as it's almost entirely flat. The people that work there are very, very nice and so are the other golfers that are there to play the course. You're definitely not in Kansas anymore, Toto!!

It seems like the further you get from Philly, the nicer people become.

I highly recommend playing this course

I play here 2-3 times a week and it is always pleasurable! The staff and owner Jeff are always extremely nice and helpful! The course is always well maintained. If you're a beginner this is a great course to really keep the scores low with enough challenges to give some advanced golfers some fits. I haven't tried the restaurant/tap room but I always see parties(weddings?) being thrown on site so it must be a good venue.
