London Downs Golf Club

I was traveling in Lynchburg, and decided to play an afternoon round at London Downs yesterday for the first time. To say I was impressed would be an understatement with the entire course is in excellent condition! Marty and the proshop staff are so friendly, and I would recommend London Downs to anyone who wants play a golf course in peak condition!

This is far and away the best public course in Lynchburg. The course is always in excellent condition. The new carts are a bit weird at first but you get used to them. Overall the course is wonderful and isn't too challenging if you know the layout. It was a busy day so pace of play wasn't the best on that day but I have played many rounds there where pace of play was excellent. This is a must play if you are in the area and have never played it before. It has a great putting green, driving range, and great clubhouse.

This was my first time playing this course. From the clubhouse to the eighteenth hole it was highly enjoyable. It is a challenging, but not overwhelming eighteen holes. I will be playing this course again.

London Downs is one of the best values in the area. The greens are generally in great shape and the staff is always friendly. I live in Reston now but play this course every time I come home.
