About
Cold Water Canyon Golf Course in the Wisconsin Dells has a layout that dates back to the 1920s, making it one of the oldest golf courses in the state. Originally a nine-hole course, it was expanded to a full 18 holes but the original layout was carefully preserved as the front nine. The back nine offers a completely different round with a Scottish-links design, however it manages to blend seamlessly with the classic layout of the first nine. Water hazards come into play on a few holes and there are strategically placed bunkers to contend with as well. The second half of Cold Water Canyon Golf Course is more challenging than the front but both are equally scenic. The golf course and the adjoining Chula Vista Resort are tucked away amidst thick forests of mature trees.

desperate Golf
We played here because all the other area courses we wanted to were booked. (Dells)
Many greens very scared with bare patches. Actually 1st course in Wisconsin I've experienced that. Short but challenging layout. Had a 6some in front of us which didn't matter on pace really however the didn't fix ANY DIVOTS.

Truly enjoyed playing this course ! We got paired with another couple and had a great time ! Course is in great shape !
Conditions
Greens were burnt and unfortunately not in real good condition. Not all of them, but seemed more often you could see damage. Tee boxes were not kept up, should feel like I tee up in nicely kept fairways, not the case.
Golf Restrooms
The ports John’s were unkept. Come on, fill up the soap dispensers. Fairways were in bad shape. Some of the greens were pretty rough.
Fairways and T boxes very dryed out,could barley push your tee in the ground and fairways were brown.
Course was beautiful, pace of play was horrible
Played 15, 16, 17 & 18 and it took an hour an a half. There was a bachelor party and they all paired up on 18
Fun little course!
Nice little course with some fun undulated holes. Blind shots come into play here and there and it can be a little challenge. Greens were smooth, and fairways were well kept. Not a bad course for the price!
Nice tight short course
Need to be accurate with iron shots, short par 4’s half wooded and half links style. Nice fun one. Price… wel… it’s a vacation town so you know.

Nice course
Fun and interesting course. White tees were just right for me. There was a bachelor party group that was playing loud music and the staff did their best to keep them under control so it was not a problem. The carts will stop if you drive in the wrong area and we were not used to that. If it happens you have to put the cart in reverse and drive it backwards to the cartpath.
In great shape
Played here many years. Fairways are in thew best condition ever. They have greatly improved course conditions
