Thorntree Country Club

Course layout alone mskes this course worth taking on, however course conditions continue to devline. The staff is cordial, helpful and friendly but lack of upkeep over the past 5 years continues to take its toll. Will continue to play due to staff and layout but bunkers largely unplayable and greens, while not "bad", are not longer great.

Reserved through golf now. Played 7 holes them rain clouds moved in with lightning. Spoke to club house team member and was told that there was no game play delay since it was not raining and refused to give a rain check. Was told that since it was through golf now they did not offer rain checks. I totally understand that but my issue was how rude he was about it.

Challenging course with firm and pure greens. Can’t believe it isn’t more crowded when I go.

The greens were immaculate, fairways were lush and the rough was fair. The overall layout is challenging but fair. My only complaint is there is no water on the course, only saw 1 ball washer and it had dirty water in it and there were no stations with drinking water.

The greens were spectacular as was the rest of the course.. Always in beautiful shape..

Bunkers 1/5 — zero care. Weeds and standing water in them.

Fairway 3/5 decent but upkeep isn’t there.

Greens 4/5. Solid but very slow.

Tee boxes 3.5/5 fine but need some work.

I've been reading a lot of negative reviews about this course recently, but I was pleasantly surprised. The greens are a bit tricky, and the fairways were indeed dry, but still sufficient grass and a fun layout. I would definitely come back.

Played 4 holes before rain and lightning came in unexpectedly. Said I would have to talk to Golf Now to get refund. No refund allowed once you start is the information I got from golf now if you book extreme next day deal. Be cautious about booking if a chance of rainout!

The course has always been an amazing track, but it seems with this recent change the conditions are abysmal. Tee box to green unkept and overgrown. Putting greens are not consistent and bunkers are showing liners...I m8ss the way the course used to be.

I belong to this course for 15 years. I stopped my membership a few years ago when it went semi public but still played frequently.

It’s in terrible condition and it makes me sad.

This is the most challenging course in DFW and they have just let it go.

Not what I expected. Course layout is great but the fairway are not great. Most likely won't return.

They charge way too much for the quality of the course. Either lower the price and expectations or fix your grass. Bare patches everywhere and the layout is kinda boring to be fair. Biggest issue is the quality, not worth $70 bucks for a round of golf. There are cheaper out there with probably the same quality of course conditions

Have played here many times over the years and this may have been my last. The fairways were in bad shape and the traps were like hard pan with weeds growing in many of them The greens were in decent shape so I guess there's that. Finally, the round was over 5 hours without a Marshall in sight. It feels like management has given up on upkeep. Its a shame as Thorntree as great bones and it would be great if it was restored to its former glory!

Very fun course to play surrounded by homes. The greens are super nice compared to other courses.

Course had a few bad spots with construction, mud and standing water as well as dirt where grass should. The majority of tee boxes were a bit bare but overall a very challenging course that was fun to play.
