Prairie Lakes Golf Course - Red Course

I had a great round playing the Red and then White course today. The layout is fun and challenging with great fairways.

I’ve played here a few times and every time pace of play is a bit slow. But today was ridiculous 2.5 hours just to play 9 holes. On hole 12 I finally just gave up after waiting 30 minutes to tee off. Also driving range was closed. Won’t be coming back to play again.

A great time playing a very interesting layout. Conditions were good, and the people there were great! I will be back!!

Too much going on and the course should have blocked out some tee times. There was a junior tournament and a clinic to introduce kids to the game. All of that is fine. I teed off at 11:37… it took 2 hours and 40 minutes to play nine. When we got to the red course there were 3 foursomes waiting!

Course is in great shape. Greens are smooth and fast, just the way I like them. Fairways are in good shape as well, but if you get off the fairways that hardpan is brutal, almost unplayable in most areas. But overall course is in great shape.

I almost don't want to disclose how great this course was and how great the conditions were because I want to keep this as a secret. While it was over 100 degrees outside, and we haven't had rain worth talking about, this course was in really great shape. We played the white course followed by the blue, but we are looking forward to going back and playing again.

Really like this course. Fairways are decent. Plenty of water to hit over and the greens are picked just right to make it fun and challenging. Definitely going back.

Fun course. Love the Bermuda Triangle. Different club length challenges over water. Bring some extra balls . Literally.
