Elite DFW club
In Texas, unlike a lot of other states, the highest rated clubs are generally modern. Dallas National often earns highest marks in the state. It’s a showy Tom Fazio design on a surprisingly hilly piece of land with no attached development making feel very exclusive. Amenities and facilities are first rate but the clubhouse is understated. The front nine is generally mellow but around the turn the course really ramps up. The par-5 10th is a show stopper and there are a handful of tough elevated greens.
Of course it was awesome. Is it best in state? Not so sure. I think I like ACC or AGC more. But it’s a special experience worth clearing your schedule for if you receive an invite
One of Texas' best
For Texas golfers, this is a bucket-list experience if you can get on. From service to the locker room to the golf course, everything here is darn near perfect. Designed by Tom Fazio, the course has a lot of character with elevated tees, interesting doglegs, elevated tees, fabulous bunkering and most of all, it's very memorable. Conditioning is also impeccable as is the service by the forecaddies.
