Haven at Haven Public Golf Club
About
Built along the Santa Cruz River, Haven Golf Course offers scenic views of the Santa Rita Mountains. Built in 1967, it is Green Valley’s oldest golf course and the only course in the area where walking is allowed. The landscape is covered with mature pines, palms, and eucalyptus trees. There are water hazards and strategically placed bunkers coming into play, but overall the golf course has an enjoyable, player-friendly layout. In addition to the 18-hole course, the Haven Golf G.C. facility features a nine-hole, par-3 golf course called Tortuga. There is also a complete practice facility with all-grass hitting stations that provides excellent short game practice.

Bring bug spray
Greens were very slow. Course layout is unremarkable but it is priced right. course does not drain well and mosquitoes are ready for you
Slow foursome held up the whole course.
There was a foursome that teed off 40 minutes ahead of us and our foursome, not rushing caught them on the 3rd hole. They proceeded to take approximately 25-30 per hole with no sense of pace of play. There are never any Marshall’s patrolling the course so nothing is ever done to speed up the slow groups. We had to skip two holes to get by them eventually and no groups ahead of them. We finally proceeded to move. Need some course personnel to address slow groups and pace of play as this can ruin a round for all the groups behind them.
Very very poor pace of play.
Very poor pace of play, I golf here regularly & never played as slow as we played today. Course ranger definitely didn't do a good job making sure people kept up pace of play. Today we played for 4 hours and 25 minutes. We' even mentioned to him to maybe give them a warning to pick up the pace he didn't care. We waited at each tee box for about 10-15 minutes each time. Started at 6:20 am finished at 11:10 am . Please do a better job at keeping up the pace thank you.
You get what you pay for
Don't expect anything grandiose, but it's an ok course. Fairways have many bare areas, no sand in the traps, and the mosquitoes are unbelievable.
Easy Layout
We've played this course many times now and it's an easy course. But for the last month the mosquito's have been nearly unbearable. The fairways have become poor with many dead patches, great if you hit low line drives. Normally, playing conditions are much better.
We encountered two players behind us who initially refused our offer to play through. However, they continued to play up to us. This made us feel rushed. Finally, we just set and waited for them to go around us.
This issue wasn't the fault of the course or management, it was just an example of a lack of knowledge of course etiquette.
Otherwise, the round was enjoyed and the course was in good shape of Arizona summer.
Good course would play again!
Fantastic course!
No good club house Restaurant food. Only sold things like hot dogs and ham sandwiches
Nice practice course
My wife and I came in for a vga tournament on Saturday in Tucson and played here Friday to warm up from the 16 hour drive from Kansas. Staff was great, helpful and friendly. Extremely hot but no humidity like home. Great little course, low price and super staff.
Haven Golf
Nice friendly golf course. Conditions are declining because of summer hear but still very playable. Bring bug spray.
Any tee time before 9am is a 5-6hr round
Staff is great, pace of play is terrible, love this course. It allows Driver to be used or iron play depending on your style of game. Bev Cart is lacking on the back nine so stock up at the turn in the clubhouse and you will be set.
