San Ignacio Golf Club

Sand traps are crap. Put some money in them which means put some sand in them. Ridiculous for this caliber of golf course and the money charged. No alcohol other than beer on the cart?Really? The Gen Manager doesn’t want to make money? Again, ridiculous

This course was one of the best I’ve played in the Tucson area. The greens were fantastic and the layout was great for all skill levels. This was the first time we’ve played there but it will definitely not be the last!!

The most important factor in rating any business is what they do when things go wrong. In this case San Ignacio failed big time. We were having a nice round of golf and due to traffic in front of us we were off the pace the cart screen said we should be at, but there was not much we could due about it.

After the turn we started to get pushed by the group behind us with them driving into us. By the 13th they had done this three times. In addition they had a very loud boom box and I could not tell if the foul language was coming them or the boom box. Didn't matter, it was loud enough for us and the homes on the course to hear.

While on the 13th fairway I called in to the pro-shop and they agreed with me this was unacceptable behavior and I mistakenly assumed that they would do something. Before we left the fairway our other cart just missed getting hit by another of the trailing groups shots. They drove into us again on the next hole.

On the 15th hold an employee came by to tell us it was getting dark and we would have to quit after 17. When we asked what they were doing about the group behind us he had no idea the where was a problem. We expected him to turn around and go back to address the problem; he didn't.

I have news for the management of this course. If you are unwilling to deal with dangerous and disruptive golfers, you are failing in your responsibilities to provide a safe and welcoming golf experience. Also, if you take our money for 18 holes we are going to play until we can no longer see.

We will not be returning.

But over the top service. Very friendly I thought I had seen moments of great service in my 70-year life. Nope. Starter drove to the parking lot with me to drive the cart back. Wow!

We really enjoyed the course and will be back again!

Golf course is great.

However, only saw the beverage cart once. They had no Powerade/Gatorade or water on the beverage cart. No ranger on course that I saw. Foursome in front of us hit 6 tee shots on virtually every hole. GPS quit working on #10, called pro shop only person there had no idea how to fix it.

I had never played the course prior but had seen it from the clubhouse several times. I really enjoyed the day and will play it again sometime. There were a few poor condition tee boxes and some spotty areas on greens, but overall nice conditions.

The course was in great shape and enjoyed playing as always.

The day we play we were only allowed to play the back 9, so we played it twice. Not bad but would have loved to play the whole course. From what I played i enjoyed it, due to course conditions play was very slow only having 9 open. When I play again I will update with a more accurate review.
