A GEM in the desert
In a small town South of Tucson, is a place called Green Valley. It is there that you will find a gem in the desert called Desert Hills Golf Club. It is a private , member owned golf course. If you know someone, you can go as a guest or play, if you have a letter from your head pro. It is the best course in the valley, by far. The course is very well maintained.it does not have a fancy club house with dining facilities, but it is a great place to go after a round of golf, have a beverage and talk about the days golf. There are 4 different tee boxes, making it easy to choose the yardage that works for you. The course accommodates all handicap ranges. Not allot of trouble to get into, 3 ponds, just enough bunkers and assorted sizes of fairways. The rye grass fairways in the Summer and Bermuda grass in the Winter are generally in tip top shape. The staff is friendly and the members are terrific. Rounds of golf are 4 hours or less in the Winter and in the slower season of Summer, you can play in 3 hours. I highly recommend this golf course.
True enjoyment
Course is fun and tough. Staff was excellent. Played a tournament there, rode with member and got good insight. The views are great and the amenities were excellent.
