Rancho Manana Golf Club

Greens have recovered nicely from aeration. A lot of courses fairways are struggling this year, Rancho is doing something about it, aerating fairways instead of just over watering like most of the other courses.

Parts of the course looked like it was not being watered. Greens were small but ball marks kept the ball on the green. Burger at the turn could have been better (tasted microwaved).

Hole #4 is steep and the ball will roll back so far you will end up 20 yards behind where you started, shoot. Aim 20 yards farther than you think.

This is a beautiful course and my favorite in AZ.

The par 3’s the best!

The 18 birdies app really helps with all the blind doglegs.

The staff are awesome. No computers on the carts so use this app.

I found this course to be a lot of fun, mostly because I hit the ball very very straight.some of the tightest driving course ever. winding thru the mountains, holes 45 degrees below you. the fairway and greens are in poor shape hard to find grass in the fairway and the greens were in need of water and fertilizer. very short course that will test your abilities.

Worth a shot.

The course is fun to play and plays at a nice pace. Everything is pretty dry and the greens have been punched recently. Bumpy greens that make it hard to make quality putts, otherwise it was a nice course.

We play Rancho Manana every year on our annual golf trip to Arizona. Been coming here for the last 20 years and always enjoy the course, staff and amenities.

The coarse was starting to get Dry-Hope that it doesn’t get any worse as the summer goes- Love the coarse and have golfed there several times over the years 👍⛳️

They recently punched the greens and they were in very rough shape. Spike marks all over and bit the rest of the course was very good! But pace of play was slow for late afternoon and I had to pass to separate that would not wave up a single player that started 25 minutes behind both twosome groups. Still love the place but do better..

Good course with a little bit of target golf on some holes, bit of a country club feel as well,l but then others are open. pace of place a bit slow (could have somebody moving people along) during the course but it’s in good shape. They just punched and aireated the greens so a bit bumpy …not too busy in early till late afternoon.

I have played at Rancho Manana before. Although extremely scenic, I am not a fan of the quirkiness of the layout. However, I played on 6/10 for only $25. The GolfNow posting mentioned aeration. I totally understand the need to aerate the greens, and they were unputtable, as excpected. What was not disclosed was that 8 holes (11-18) are off limits. The conditions of the holes that were open was some of the worst golf course conditions I have ever seen.

Bare lies, muddy bunkers, burnt grass areas, etc. Hopefully these will be addressed soon. I recommend you call the course and ask about course conditions before you book. Do not rely only on the info posted on GolfNow. If they had been honest, I would not have booked the tee time.

There is something about this course that doesn’t appeal to me in any way. It’s got some elevation - which I like, and is seldom found in Phoenix - but it just doesn’t have that “it”.

Very beautiful and challenging course. Great value at this time as holes 11-18 were closed due to aeration and reseeding. Range and putting green closed too - but worth the discounted greens fee. Highly recommend.

Love playing the course for its views and challenging fairways.

Would not suggest this course to play from now until fall. The fairways were dry, and the greens were in bad shape.

I guess that was our last play there until later in the fall.

I played only 9 do to time restraints for me but the front 9 is beautiful! The views, desert and mountain backdrops, and amazing! Some good up and down/rolling holes with a few challenging shots for sure! Grass is in decent shape for the most part. I golfed first week of June and they are not as bad as some of the reviews say at all! Its not Pebble Beach, but neither is the price! Had a great time and will absolutely come back!

We have played this course multiple times and really enjoy. It is a 5 star course in all aspects during the season. However, during the off season I can only give it a 3 star rating. The fairways were patchy and brown in many areas. Same for the greens. Lots of brown spots. However, we got a great deals, so it is a price performer off season. If you are willing to put up with brown and patchy grass in many areas, this is worth playing. The layout is really nice, but challenging. Bring plenty of balls unless you are a handicap below 10. The staff is really nice, and the restaurant serves great food. If you get an off season deal, play it. But, come back during the season. The views are stunning.

Ladies in the office were rude. The greens are in pretty rough shape. The views are great and it can be a fun course but some of the staff needs to get off their high horse it isnt TPC
