Rating 70.8

Nestled amidst the beautiful Red Rocks of Sedona, Sedona Golf Resort offers truly unique scenery. The golf course sprawls across elevations ranging from 3,960 feet to as much as 4,260 feet, a landscape that provides elevated tees, raised greens, tricky lies, and difficult approach shots. The dramatic elevations also offer stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The course winds in and out of the rock formations, giving each hole a unique character and scenery. It is not particularly long at 6,646 yards but the challenging elevated greens and winding doglegs make up for any lack of length. The sixth and the 10th are the signature holes but one of the most challenging holes comes earlier, the second. This hole really takes advantage of the Sedona topography, offering sight of the raised green but little else in front of it.

Excellent amenities, poor course conditions

The staff and amenities were excellent. The starter, Dennis was a wealth of information about the course and the community. Pro shop staff was also excellent and helpful. They were apologetic about the course conditions caused by severe monsoon season and gave us a $20 credit toward purchases on premises. Great selection of clothing. Used my credit at restaurant after round where the wait staff and food was excellent.

Great views of the mountains on the course. Plenty of elevated tees.

Sedona Resort 8/8/26

Beautiful setting, nicely laid out course with challenges and great views. Course shape was in poor condition, fairways and greens with barren spots on every hole. Seemed very wet and spongy, without a lot of rain

While we did receive vouchers for merchandise and amenities to ease the pain of poor course conditions, it was still overpriced.

Not sure what’s going on…

First time playing and I can honestly say I was super disappointed. The course is in horrible condition. Muddy fairways, broken sprinklers everywhere, and every green looks terrible. They gave us a $20 credit to cover for the greens and course conditions. But I would stay away from this place until fall. Definitely going to call and check conditions before I make the drive out next time. Hopefully they can get the course back in to shape because the views are amazing and staff is super friendly.

Poor shape but scenic views

The fairways and greens were in poor shape. Many bare spots with very slow greens. The rough was very thick . I know the weather has been hard for them but other courses in area are fine. The scenery was very pretty with the red rocks of Sedona as a backdrop. I hope they put some money into bringing this place back. We had a great lunch in the restaurant.. The pro shop staff was very friendly. Plenty of fresh water stations on the course! We will give it a try again- just not anytime soon…

Course Was in Rough Shape

The course was not in good shape. The rough was so so long and the course was very wet. It may just be to all of the recent rain but I would not recommend playing this course.

Fast and well managed

Great round the day after 0.5” of rain. (A lot of rain here in Northern Arizona).

Our 7:24am tee time went off without delay and the three of us finished 18 holes in less than 4 hours.

The course was in excellent condition considering the recent rain.

Great scenery

Course in good shape greens were slower than would be expected. Plenty of water stations and beverage cart visits. Great scenery.

Slow play and slow greens offset by vistas and staff

As a twosome, we were stuck behind a family of non-golfers. In fairness, they eventually let us play through and picked up at least 2 holes, but after 2 or 3 15 minute waits the delay became onerous. The greens were surprisingly slow and the tee boxes wet. On the other hand, the red rocks were gorgeous as always. Staff were very helpful. The layout of the course is interesting. Not a truly walkable course, but it is a fun way to spend a half day.

Great Birthday Round - for my Son!

My son wanted to play golf for his Birthday, but I did nt want to play in the scorching heat in the Valley, so headed up to Sedona.

it was an amazing time!! Can't wait to return.

Only 2hrs from Chandler, and a 4hr round.. We left Chandler @5:30, arrived at 740, started at 7:51, and we're back in Chandler by 2:40.. AWESOME Time!!

The elevation changes provide amazing views. The course is challenging and fun to play. Keep it in the fairway because the rough is tough.

Great views, nice layout, excellent conditions (mid May)

We loved playing the course. I appreciated most the true fast fair greens and the landscaping that shielded most homes on the few holes with them. The surrounding terrain is fantastic. We liked every hole--none were gimmicky or tricky for first timers to navigate. Still we missed GPS on the carts and resorted to our own devices.

This is a resort course so we slogged through in 4:25. A corporate group was playing a scramble ahead of us. Nothing about the layout would slow play, it's just the meatheads. The day after playing we took a walk around the resort area and when passing #1 tee saw a foursome of bros taking warmup swings from the tips. As expected, their drives went everywhere but the fairway, and not far, except for one guy whose ball clicked OB down the adjoining access road and across to a private resident's yard. And in true meathead fashion he played from the folks' yard across the street proceeding to hit it fat leaving a foot long gouge with the ball barely making it back across the street and just past the very clearly marked OB stakes. Geeesh.
