River Marsh Golf Club - Hyatt Chesapeake Bay
About
The Hyatt River Marsh Golf Club is Maryland's leading Eastern Shore golf course. The classic design incorporates challenging elements including sculpted bunkers and mature trees but balances them with wide, player-friendly fairways and inviting greens. Water has a prominent presence on the course with Shoal Creek meandering through the course and the Choptank River serving as a backdrop to many of the greens. The riverside golf course has the look and feel of a seaside links course. The final two holes are the golf course's most memorable. The par-3 17th requires a dramatic carry over Shoal Creek to a large green strategically guarded by three bunkers. The 17th is a challenging and scenic hole but it only sets the scene for Hyatt River Marsh Golf Club's final hole. Touted as one of the best holes in the Mid-Atlantic region, this classic risk-reward par 5 has a bunker and the Choptank River running its entire length.

Golfer Reviews
Excellent course
I just moved up here from FL and this is the closest courses to me. Absolutely Amazing layout, so many beautiful holes. Scoreable par 5s. Good test of golf. Greens run true. Not incredibly fast but rolled true. Highly recommend.
great course with great views
super surprised by how impressive the course was for the price, very friendly people and amazing greens and fairways. will come back
Great track!!
Nice track and staff are great!! Next time I’ll try the food!
It is coming together
Greens: The greens were recently aerated on the front, so a bit sandy here and there. The back nice was better, but I think folks have not been fixing their divots so some of them have a bunch of marks.
Fairways: The fairway were converted to Bermuda last year - yay. There are some brown spots here and there where the bermuda has not come out yet. soon, i am sure.
Rough: cut pretty low, not really penal, and not consistent.
Sand: Excited to see the bunkers on 18 with sand again. It has been grown over for years. Most of the bunkers looked good, and much better than in the past. Actually raked.
Poor condition
I’ve played River Marsh many times over the past ten years. Unfortunately the course conditions were the worst today I’ve ever experienced. The fairways are bare in spots and the tee boxes look like a local muni course. The greens are in fair shape but still not up to a standard one would expect for this course. You cannot charge resort course fees when your course is in such condition. It’s just not right.
Windy Day
Played Tuesday May 5th, very windy and 74*
Tee boxes and alot of the fairways were either dead or dormant.
Course needs another month for sure.
Putting greens were this time compared last time.
Bermuda
Fairways changed to Bermuda last year. Some areas still browned out but nice lies anyway. Very droughty here. Certain to get even better with some precipitation
