Raspberry Falls Golf & Hunt Club offers the traditional links course reminiscent of those found in the British Isles, situated amidst Virginia's horse country. The club gets its name from the land's former use, a raspberry field. The scenic terrain overlooks to Catoctin Mountains and there are still a few raspberry bushes dotting the course. By far the layout's most formidable challenges come from the deep, stacked pot bunkers that make it truly feel like a classic Scottish golf course. There are also water hazards on a few holes. The course's signature is the par-4 third hole, which is long but plays downhill all the way. The 10th hole, another par 4, is one of the toughest. The landing area is generous off the tee but there is a creek and pond to the left and fairway bunkers on the right.

Many people have told me to play this course and I had high expectations for the experience and I have to say they beat the expectations.
Super friendly staff and members i played with and the course is even more beautiful than I expected.

Very Un-Raspberry Like Conditions.
The course isn’t anywhere near the condition it’s known for. The front nine should be cart path only to prefect what’s left of the fairways. They lost them this summer and after 2 weeks of rain, they’re getting torn up by the carts. It was easier to play shots from the rough than from the fairways. Many tee boxes are in bad condition as well. Most of the back 9 plays like a completely different course because the varying conditions. Rack rate for most players is an overcharge for the conditions right now.

Gee for this still being prime season the course was not in good shape. Tee boxes were terrible and greens very bumpy and slow. I would expect more from a course that bills itself as such a great place.
