So nice!
I've only been to a few country members only country clubs. This one ranks way up. It's so nice through and through. The South course was a delight. Although it's index and elevation is not as high as the North course, it played pretty difficult. The greens are a thing of dreams, they roll so true and are in perfect condition. Although not a Dye design, this course has a little bit of a Pete Dye influence with strategically placed bunkers that seemed hidden from plain sight. A couple of the par 3s are grueling with average 200 yards distances from the 2nd tees. The layout of this course is unique hole by hole. I can why members wouldn't get bored playing it over and over. I really enjoyed the course although my game was not up to par for the course. If I ever get a chance to play here again, I'll jump at the opportunity.
Another Joe Lee gem
I know several low-handicap competitive golfers who love this private Joe Lee designed golf course, and finally I can see why. This is matured well-conditioned golf course with a long distinguished golfing tradition(Sam Snead and Claude Harmon were once members) The course is beautifully landscaped in a natural style . While the clubhouse is showing its age, the golf course does not due to recent updates.. Excellent practice facilities are available. The day I played the greens were fast because the club was hosting the women's U.S Open qualifier there the next day. Jump at a chance to play this splendid golf course.
