Kilcock Golf club
First off I would like to note that Kilcock seems to be a great place for Juniors. Hats off in that respect.
Off site toilets absolute joke. A total mess and needs urgent care.
The practice area was decent, but no driving range on site. Pity. As a proper range helps me slide out the 1st tee nerves.
Anyway I found this course in general too short, like most I've played very up and down. Looking back not many stand out holes. 4th par 4 water before the green was nice. I was told Kilcock was very tight. It is in places, but not if your decent off the tee (which I was 80% of the time). Yes offline and you certainly are punished. 7th no way a par 5... not on a month of Sundays. 8th is a beautiful hole, water protecting the green all down the left hand side. 9th boring 10th boring 11th 12th. Nothing stands out. Just a Parkland Course full of trees. Not really much water. I never got that (worried feeling etc) which excites me but at the same time terrifies me. 16th dinky little par 3. 17th is a pitch n putt hole. 18th average (just don't go right off the tee whatever you do).
Kilcock charged me €45. Definitely over priced. To be fair and honest, it's worth €30 at most.
As I've said previously... another course off my list. Only positive, its 40 mins from my front door. I might be back, we'll see.
Plenty of Golf courses in this lovely (White Catholic Irish Country of ours).
Slainte. Thanks folks
Lovely course, well maintained.
I've played Kilcock a few times now and every time I'm impressed by how well maintained it is. It has some pretty good looking and some difficult holes. Nice warm up area with a good large bunker and chipping area. This was a Friday evening round and it was surprisingly busy but overall not much of a wait time throughout. Would recommend and will certainly return.
Great course
Played evening of 26th August course was in great condition despite recent dry spell. Always a challenge and layout keeps the course interesting.
Best in Co. West meath
It’s definitely excellent course for all kind of handicap players. Enjoyable, well maintained and well marked. I love to come over and over again.
Kilcock GC
Had a very enjoyable day in Kilcock G.C.The staff were very friendly and helpful and the course itself was in prime condition.
The food afterwards in the clubhouse was excellant.
Great challenge. Ground was heavily sanded as were the greens but that’s what you expect for March. Should payoff in the summer. Will definitely be back to play again later in the year.
Great experience
Had a great time though weather was not in favour feels like -2c. Fine course with beautiful walk. Well maintained and more worked was carried out like trimming, redone the bunkers, etc. highly recommended. Received very friendly welcome.
Winter golf
Course in great nick for this time of year same as summer golf👌👌
Beautiful course
Really enjoyed playing here, booked knline and got a good deal for a 2 ball on a Sunday afternoon, shame it was a day where there was 100kmh winds which even impacted your putts, but the course was very well latee out, really nice condition and also just a very good golf course to play. Staff I encountered were very friendly, didn’t see much of the clubhouse but seemed a little outdated for the membership fees I saw. Might be nicer inside than it seems
