River Pointe lays out beside the Brazos River offering plenty of challenges, particularly from its numerous water hazards that come into play on just about every hole. The signature is No. 18, a nice par 4 that tees over water and approaches into an island green.

Getting there : From Houston take 59 south to Richmond, exit Crab River Rd. Grand Pkwy, over 59 on overpass, straight to FM 2759, turn left and go 4.5 miles until you see the course on the left side.

First time back in a while

We had a group go down to play River Pointe. Course was in nice shape. Greens were very very nice, fairways had nice cover and cushion (and had been sliced recently). Bunkers were ok but could use some trimming around the edges. RP is not a fancy golf club, family owned, but very friendly staff. Good practice area also.

great day for golf

It was cart path only but enjoyed the round anyway! If you haven't played this track make plans to do so. you'll enjoy it.
