Overall, this facility could use some work. The golf cart path leading up to the number one hole felt like it was an off-road obstacle course. However, the fairways are in OK shape and the greens were in pretty good shape so overall it’s still a good place to work on your game. This is especially true if you can catch one of the special deals on GolfNow.

Don't expect good fairways, don't expect cart paths, don't expect raken in the bunkers. and you will love the course. The layout and the scenery is just astonishing. You can just imagine how great the course was, when it opened back in the days. Stopped there on my way up north, because the rate was great and I've read in a review, that the design is great. I can just agree. Greens were a little slow, but besides that in great shape. Just go there and enjoy the layout, and let's hope the owner brings it back to a overall good level.

Read the history of this course.! Jack Nicholas design, the course started as a very exclusive country club. The design and layout is spectacular. After about 7 years it couldn’t make it and was sold and has been public ever since. Unfortunately it fell into serious disrepair, however today the Greens are true and in fabulous shape. Tee boxes are adequate.with six positions for every level. Some of the views , especially on the back nine are good enough that our group stopped to take pictures. The cart paths are rough. The fairways have grass and it’s properly cut but a tad bumpy…not bad but not what you would expect from a $300 round at a Jack Nicholas course. Fortunately at least now in the summer you can play 18 for $35. When it was private it hosted several PGA events. In fact Masters winner Zack Johnson won his first PGA tournament here and set the course record that still stands (62). I beat Zack’s 62 the other day but they had to spot me the last 4 holes. And I got the privilege of teeing off from the senior tees . Hey I’m 75 and shot a 78 so not to bad.

Course is very playable. Decent greens and fairways. Cart paths are very rough in places. Hit or miss whether there will be balls available for the driving range.

First need to inform grounds staff to clear fairways and greens when golfers present. Very hard to play when mower on the green (he did see us) and continued to mow then followed us next hole to do the same thing. Greens ok fairways very rough and patchy. Luckily I got it on a hot deal.

This course is in need of some serious maintenence. Cart paths are very poor and the fairways were covered with goosegrass weeds. The greens were in very nice condition. It is a seriously funky layout that makes it hard for a first time player to figure out some shots. Try to hook up with someone who knows the course the first time you play here.

Enjoyed the course very much and the greens were excellent. Only two things that we found to be negative was that on many of the holes straying just off the fairways resulted in rough so high it was nearly impossible to find one's ball. Searching in the high growth made it not only impossible to find the ball but also slowed the round down greatly and holding up others. The other negative was the first time we played the water coolers had cold water, this time when we played the coolers were empty. It's FL so water should always be available. Great course that isn’t super expensive but good quality. Has a laid back environment. Great drinks. Great bartenders and cart girls.

The course is in great shape. The crew has done a fabulous job. Played there couple weeks ago and it is in better shape now than then and I bragged on it then.
