Ocala Golf Club

Fluffy tee boxes, fairways were great, one green had one bad spot on the edge of it about 4 ft long and a foot wide but they were working on it. Overall very nice

We very much enjoyed playing Ocala Golf Club. So much enjoyed some gentle hills in the usually quite flat Florida landscape. The people were welcoming and the price, with Golf Now and Golf Plus benefits, was right!

Sand traps were devoid of sand, unfortunately I landed in 8 the conditions ranged from a couple inches of sand to dried dirt. Could not get a consistent play. Others who have played before , said before we played he doesn’t play out of the sand.

The course was backed up and there was four (4) groups on one hole. It was difficult to maintain your tempo when waiting so much.

Course in good shape for a Municipal course. Pace was not the greatest. Greens and fairways were good. Worth the hour drive. Cant wait to be back.

I have played this course numerous times. This course is vastly improved from a couple of years ago. I love the layout everything about this course. The only thing that I can see needs improvement is we need more grass in the rough and a few of the traps need a little more sand. They have a wonderful practice facility. I always show up early before my teatime to get in some practice it’s hard to find a really good practice facility but they have one here on this city municipal course. The staff is over the top friendly. I played every chance I get.

Course in great shape. Practice areas best I've seen in the greater Ocala area. Could stand to have a ranger take an occasional tour around .... to "educate" golfers who lack basic golf etiquette.

Great home course playing it once a month.

I thought the course was in good condition considering the fact we are in drought conditions. The greens were in good shape and rolling well . This is a good value course to play.

Area is going through a drought. Greens were in ok shape. Traps were in ok shape some had water in them even though it had not rained in a few days. Some traps needed to be raked out. Course was ok

There's a drought in the area, so brown fairways are expected from a muni, but the greens were in name ONLY. Very fast and fairly true, but totally browned out. Bunkers could use some more sand, club bounced on every shot. Also couldn't hit my range balls because they were short on golf carts and I had to wait for someone to finish playing and I didn't have time to warm up. Not the best first impression for sure, but the course actually played fairly well. Starter lady could use a little better people skills also.

Course overall was in very good condition. The staff is very friendly and did get us out early and the pase of play was great. As first time players at Ocala Muni the layout was very good and did make you think. Some pin placements were very tricky not only on the approach but putting as well.

We will be returning to play again.
