Ocala Golf Club

Par 5s and some other holes even more challenging with far corner pin placements. Fairways in great shape. Only played 9 ( although playing well) as two other groups backed up on 10. Greens very smooth. Winds helped comfort but, held up a lot of drives.

Extremely raised Greens on most holes makes approach shot into the Greens difficult. The course had recently been aerated, which we were not told about before purchase nor at the

counter at check in. Had we known we either would not have played or we would have asked for a discounted rate of about 50% off.A decent layout of holes but way too many areas needing to be filled & leveled out. Don’t know the cause of these but they are everywhere which takes away from a better rating of course condition. These make riding in a cart anwfully bumpy. Old style, tree lined fairways.

First time playing the course. Pace of play was terrible with two young men ahead of us who obviously were learning how to play. They did not know golf etiquette, Twice, one of them walked back to the green after already leaving. I was right in the middle of taking my shot. No Rangers were seen on the course at all to govern pace. Probably won't be back.

Pace of play was frustratingly slow, everyone was friendly and the course was in very good shape

Greens was fast and true. Tee box was great as was the fairway.

Ocala Golf Club is in great shape with nice fairways and very nice greens. You really need to play this course. It may look wide open but you'll soon find out it is not to be taken for granite. Just enjoyable to play. Great staff and willing to help in any way they can.

Played alone, perfect pace, finished in 2:45.

my only complaint is that the drink cart isn't set up for credit cards. It can't be that hard.....

We have played Ocala Golf Club several times now. It is in excellent condition from tee through greens. It has a few inclines and a little hill or two along the way. The staff and patrons are welcoming and friendly. With my Golf Now/Golf Pass benefits, it is an extremely reasonable course. Compared to available courses in the Gainesville area where I live (about 50 minutes away) Ocala Golf Club is head and shouders above most in course quality and a great value!

I know there’s a lack of rain in Florida so things are kind of dried up in many places. However, there was a lot of places where the grass was super tall and I thought needed mowed because it was hard to find your ball if you could find it. Brand new carts, which were nice. The staff was nice. All in all it was OK.
