Crystal Lake Golf & Country Club

The course was in great shape. The pace of play was just slow because of a tournament.

This is one of the best courses in the Atlanta area. It has an interesting layout, is in great shape, and doesn't cost any more than courses that are inferior. Only drawbacks are no return to the clubhouse after nine, and on some holes the yardage difference between the white and green tees is enormous at around 100 yards.

First time playing Crystal Lake GC. Challenging layout greens were in good shape. Overall enjoyable course to play.

Overall, the courses in great condition. The greens could stand to be rolled (they were a little slow, especially compared to GA National, which was played the day before), but they were consistent. Fairways and rough were both is great shape as well.

Was first time playing this course and was really impressed with the conditions of the greens, fairways and tee boxes- just a really pretty and challenging course. However,the pace of play was rediculously slow. Tee time (in the morning) was half hour delayed and then had to stop playing after 13 holes because it took 4.5 hours and had to be somewhere…would expect better for a weekday.

Course was in great shape. Tough course with multiple par 3’s over 220 yards. Greens in very good shape. Would play again. Great value.

I enjoyed this course but it’s probably overrated in terms of public golf near Atlanta. The conditions were really good and the design is fun. You can’t beat the $25 I paid for 18 holes on a Thursday at 2p.

However if you are going to name yourself Crystal Lake Golf Course, you should have more than only 3 holes on the lake. I hate when courses weave through neighborhoods and this one has houses everywhere you look. If you miss a fairway you are in a backyard and you have to cross multiple roads throughout the 18 holes.

Pace of play was terrible for a weekday afternoon. Multiples groups ahead of me as a solo and they wouldn’t let me play through, even though I was waiting on them to hit 8 shots per person per hole. No marshall, ranger or starter so it makes sense.

Not sure how I feel. I would love it if this course was in a different location and was operated a little better. I would play it again just bc the par 3 15th is so pretty.

The first time I played Crystal Lakes i didn't like it much. After a few rounds and gaining some local knowledge i can say my mind was changed. I need off at 302 as a single. I hit my last putt on 18 at just 5 pm. 2 groups let me play through. I was having a ball striking feast. The greens kept me confused for a good while. They are Bermuda with noticible grain. After I started paying attention my putting really improved. The greens were very consistent. Fairways ant tee boxes good. I really enjoyed playing.

The good: Tee boxes, bunkers, and greens. All in good shape

The bad: 15+ minutes to check in, and the fairways have some weird pot holes and crevices that a perfect tee shot will land you in

The still really bad: Pace of play. All they need is to just send the starter or ranger out a couple times to keep people moving but this course refuses to address pace of play. I have booked CL once or twice every year for the last several years hoping they'd eventually improve but they haven't. I think I'm finally done. They have no problem filling up tee times so doubt they'll care, but just plan on 5+ hour rounds on the weekend

Beautiful course in great shape. the greens were the best I have played on in several months. The staff and regular players were very helpful and friendly. Pride in their course was evident.

Course in great condition. Staff super nice. Facilities are excellent. Two thumbs up.

Crystal Lake is a fun course to play. Lots of different hole layouts and several yardages to choose from provides different challenge levels. Will be coming back to play again.

I will definitely go back again and play it was a fun course, but some of the holes are very challenging . Nobody was pushing us and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Thanks GC
