About
Frog Hollow Golf Club in Middletown boasts the title of "best public golf course" in Delaware. The course has a links-style layout that is challenging but still player-friendly enough to appeal to beginners, seniors, and juniors. The layout is wide open and quite forgiving but there are still plenty of hazards with which to contend. There are more than 50 strategically placed bunkers throughout the golf course. Their thoughtful placement makes up the bulk of the layout's challenges. There are ponds that come into play on six holes as well as tall native grasses that appear along the fairways and greens. The wind is often a factor on the course too and will test your accuracy even further. Frog Hollow Golf Club's par 3s and par 5s are manageable but the par 4s will test even the best players.

Golfer Reviews
Great course
The course was in excellent shape. From tee to green were great.
Frog Hollow Aug 2026
A top notch course at an excellent price point... Tees, fairways and greens in great shape even after a torrential rain event the previous evening. Personable and professional staff. Definitely will return this season.
Course was in great shape, especially after all the rain we had the day before. Love playing this course
Challenging
First time playing Frog Hollow, very challenging for my skill which was quite hard for me but enjoyable with very beautiful view, excellent fairways and very consistent greens, will be back for sure.
Frog Hollow plays long when wet!
Heavy rain left a very soggy course to play…bunkers were unplayable, but the fairways and greens were fine, but slow. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. “Pub grub” tasty and filling, with excellent service.
Pristine condition
I brought some friends to play that are familiar with a public course to the north that gets a lot of play. They all were so impressed with condition of all aspects of the course.
Nice track
It's a fun course with challenging holes. The greens are undulating and tough to read at times. The bunkers needed a little work, but most courses have bunker issues.
Frog Hollow
Excellent fairways and rough, greens decent, tee boxes decent. Staff not particularly friendly, pace of play was glacial (5 1/2 hrs.).
My go to course
I play this course more than any other. It takes a few rounds to know where to miss it, but after you do, it's a fun course to challenge your short game.
Best deal around
Frog Hollow continues to be the best golf deal in the New Castle area! Greens rolled great, bunkers in great shape, minimal “cart path only holes”, and just an amazing lay out! I love it here!
Frog Hollow
GREAT conditions! Although some of the sand traps could use some more sand. Always a pleasure playing The Frog. Huge, fast, undulating greens that roll true.
Worth the one hour drive down from Philly.
