Frog Hollow Golf Club
About
Frog Hollow Golf Club in Middletown boasts the title of "best public golf course" in Delaware. The course has a links-style layout that is challenging but still player-friendly enough to appeal to beginners, seniors, and juniors. The layout is wide open and quite forgiving but there are still plenty of hazards with which to contend. There are more than 50 strategically placed bunkers throughout the golf course. Their thoughtful placement makes up the bulk of the layout's challenges. There are ponds that come into play on six holes as well as tall native grasses that appear along the fairways and greens. The wind is often a factor on the course too and will test your accuracy even further. Frog Hollow Golf Club's par 3s and par 5s are manageable but the par 4s will test even the best players.

Fabulous conditions
Well maintained and slick greens. Always a great value. Staff was great!
Insanely bad staff
I can not express how much I disliked the staff. The bartender in the turn house was the absolute worst bartender or employee I’ve ever met on any course. Maybe get someone with a brain and manners.
Another great round at Frog
Always a good time at Frog Hollow, from checking in to playing on the course, the vibes are always high! Great staff and well maintained course.
Worth the money
Overall a very playable course that provides great value and an opportunity to hit all the clubs in the bag. Multi tiered greens provide the groundskeeper the ability to change the course dramatically day to day! I recommend!
Great course
Awesome layout. Tuff large greens but roll true. The pace of play was a bit slow but also played in the middle of the day and the course was full on a Sunday. I would definitely go back and pick an earlier tee time.
Used to be most affordable course near Middletown DE. Now raised prices n very slow pace of play especially on weekends has looking for alternative courses.
Excellent
Challenging course that’s in great shape. Can’t wait to play it again!
Great bang for the buck
This has been one of my favorite courses in the area. Not too long or super difficult, but the greens can be tricky.
Course is well maintained. I would like some water available on course and this day, there was no one drinking around for drinks.
First Frog round of the year
I play here 4-5 times a year for the last decade or so. First time this year and it’s in great shape early season. Always nice to catch a deal. Areation is still noticeable, but doesn’t seem to effect roll much. Still on the fast side. A couple tee boxes newd some love, but fairways and greens were well above expectations. Definitely recommend!!
On the personal note, this was the day I finally pared the last 3 holes from the white tees to shoot my first round under 90 of the year. (89!) I’ve been lower here before, but if you know this course, finishing par-par-par here is something to be proud of. ( Especially 17!)
Pace terrible
3 1/2 hours to play 11 hills. We gave up and went home.
Good course, could be great.
Frog is a gem. Great pice and usually pace of play is not an issue.
The layout is exceptional despite the typical suburban housing development that surrounds most holes. Lots of backyards to view.
The greens are big, undulating and difficult to hold. Fairways are thin, unfortunately, but usually wide and challenging with slope and angles. Traps are terrible.
The course plays long. Expect a few blind shots. Overall it’s a tough course to score on. Bring your A game.
