Providence Golf Club

Title says it all. Course was in absolutely fantastic shape this past weekend. Glad to see it being taken care of.

My biggest turn off for a course is when course maintenance isn’t coded on the golf now app. We were blindsided after getting a tee time thinking the course was fine… turns out when we got there the back nine was closed due to aeration on the greens and we were told we had to play the front 9 twice. If we knew the course was undergoing aeration we wouldn’t have booked. Long story short… don’t trust the app. Call the course during this season and verify things are good!

Providence Golf Club was in excellent shape when I played it. The greens were in great shape and rolled really true. The speed of the greens was slightly on the slower side, but were in some of the best shape for a public course that I can recall playing. Hole distances allowed for a good use of most of my clubs.

I recently relocated to the area and I am still learning which courses to play, but this one will definitely be on my rotation.

The staff was friendly and gracious. The course offers a variety of tees for all levels of play so play your game. Conditions were fantastic...well maintained tee boxes, beautiful fairways and challenging greens. Book your tee time ASAP!

9am tee time, even with a starter they were already a group late and we teed off around 9:!5 instead. Pace after that wasn't terrible, total round was 4.5 hours on a Sunday but we never really had to wait for any shot and nobody was pushing behind us, just a late start.

Greens rolled pretty nicely, rest of course pretty good shape for a busy public course. Never hit a bunker so no comment on those.

Fun track, nice challenge without anything crazy or unfair.

Course is in fantastic condition. Greens and fairways are the best I’ve seen in a while. Keep up the good work!!

This was my first time playing this course, and we were not disappointed. We enjoyed the course and the people. Looking forward to playing it again.

This course is always in good condition. Greens are great, fairways and tee boxes actually have grass. Enjoy playing here.

After playing other courses in the RVA it was nice to play on fairways with grass and almost perfect greens. Staff is amazing. Nicest carts you will see. Nice touch with coolers throughout the course with free bottles of water.

Had a great time playing Providence for the first time. It's a little on the shorter side but makes up for it with course design. No two holes felt the same. Greens were incredibly consistent and all in good shape. Would definitely play again.

We traveled in from RI to the Richmond area for some Golf & Music. We spotted Providence GC on GN, and thought we had to play this place. What a pleasant surprise to find such a fun course. Jack in the pro shop was a great ambassador, and formerly from RI.

Terrific staff, nice greens, flush fairways, and some challenging holes. Course isn’t too difficult, it’s a good mixture.
