Salish Cliffs Golf Club
About
Salish Cliffs Golf Club, part of the Little Creek Casino & Resort, is located 20 minutes from Olympia and is just a little over an hour from Seattle. When the course opened in 2011, it was named "Best New Course" by both Golfweek and GOLF Magazine. The dramatic landscape of the course travels up and down over 600 feet of hillside, providing panoramic views of Kamilche Valley. The golf course is covered in bentgrass turf more frequently found in tropical climate, but that is just one of Salish Cliffs' many unique amenities. Each hole offers a unique challenge. Though the fairways and large greens roll true, accuracy is essential or you'll be severely penalized for missing them. The course finishes on a positive note with an opportunity for a birdie if you favor the left side all the way.

Played here at least 2 dozen times. Such a fun and challenging course. Great layout. Amazing conditions all around.
Food is good and staff I very friendly.
I'll be back here a couple dozen more times!
A significant challenge for average golfers.
Bring lots of golf balls, because if you’re not on the fairways, they’re gonna be gobbled up.
I played with three other average golfers btw 12-20 handicaps and we all walked away with positive comments about the setting, but definitely feeling frustrated due to constantly disappearing golf balls. One guy lost two in the tee box by just accidentally dropping them out of the washer before teeing off…They bounced twice down the hill and were never seen again.
It’s a beautiful golf course. It was in great shape, and the greens were nice. The staff was pleasant although we didn’t see a cart girl all day so that was the only minus. The nearby casino and hotel are pretty cool.
PNW allstar
Arguably one of the more beautiful PNW tracks. Course was in great shape. Especially the hazards, but seriously, all the bunkers have been reworked, they're in great shape. Plenty of fried eggs out there. Greens rolled pure as can be.
Gorgeous course!
Salish cliffs is well worth the trek! Greens roll well, golf course is technical but not too difficult. Our group played off the whites and gave a lot of opportunities to go low or go for it!
Salish cliffs pace of play
For a Thursday afternoon I have never seen pace of play so bad, even comparing it to a muni in the middle of Seattle. 3.5 hours to finish the front, 3 2 some in front of us follow by 2 3 some and a super slow 2 some in front. We skipped 10-16 to try to make up time and passed a hole with 4 groups on it. Took a hour to play 17 and 18. For a course like this you’d figure a Marshall would be letting slow players to pick it up. Carts have the gps so it is not like the course was unaware how backed up it was. The course it self was top tier, but pace of play absolutely ruined the round. Would probably not return to the course except in the off season.
Just book it.
Salish cliffs is a gorgeous course. Range balls and carts are included in your green fees. Practice area is nice, but the course is great. Fairways are beautiful, and greens are fast. And the bunkers? Oh boy they know how to do bunkers. Sand is so white you'd better be wearing sunglasses. Soft, fluffy sand. Just a great experience all around. Book it.
Fun, challenging course!
I come here maybe 2 times a year because of the course layout and honestly the nice golf carts with GPS that comes with the round. Tight course that requires most of the time, straight and accurate drives off the tee box or you’re losing golf balls. I recommend a 3 wood off the tee to get it in play if you’re squirrelly with a driver. I learned years ago that driver most of the time will get me in trouble and only hit driver here for maybe 4 or 5 holes. I would recommend this course if you are looking for a challenging course with great greens and nice fairways. If you are a high-handicap player, it might not be the course for you but it’s still a nice venue.
Like we were the only ones on the course!
Perfection. From the range balls to the attentive staff to the gorgeous course, this was a wonderful experience. Each hole is surrounded by trees and majesty making it seem like we were the only ones on the course. Moderately challenging with well placed and manicured bunkers. Errant balls are easily lost--bring a few extras!
good test, lovely layout.
fair test, great layout. must drive it straight. greens rolled true 3 weeks after being punched.
there are birdies out there but also doubles and worse if youre waywsad off tee
Great Course
Course is in great condition, greens a bit slow. Pace of play was great. Staff very friendly and helpful. This is a very challenging but fair course. We will be back to play it again soon.
Challenging
This was my first time playing Salish Cliffs, which was recommended by a colleague who has golfed it several times in the past. The course is a great challenge with a lot of fantastic features that make it a fun round. The course condition was very good and I would rate the bunkers as being extremely well kept. The entire staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, providing help and direction at every turn. We had lunch afterwards and the weight staff were equally friendly and prompt. The food was very good. From beginning to end I would say this course is now in the top tier of my favorites, I will plan to play it again as soon as my schedule allows.
Beautiful scenery and plenty of challenge!
This is a fantastic course! It is beautifully maintained, challenging, has friendly staff and a nice practice area. The course was still a little soft, and the greens were overly slow due to recent aeration, but in another week or two, the greens should be outstanding. The distance between holes and all the hills make a cart necessary for all but the most fit golfers.
Conditions explanation
Course conditions as far as bunkers, fairway and rough were immaculate. but.. the greens were some of the worst I’ve putted on for a course that nice. I’m aware they were aerated about 3-4 weeks ago but I’ve played here a few times and even when it’s the time of year where it’s supposed to be tip top shape the greens are extremely slow. I don’t understand why they just don’t try to make the greens somewhat fast, the rest of the course setup and condition doesn’t match up with those greens
The fairways were waterlogged, and the greens were incredibly slow; given this condition, I have no desire to ever return. I felt the green fee was a complete waste of money.
Best woodland course
It was an amazing experience a little soggy from rain ball the views from all the tee boxes was amazing
