Great Winter Course
I have been playing this course for over 30 years and it is usually in better shape than most.
Great course
I played in mid January and we've had a lot of rain, and I couldn't believe how dry the course was. It was in incredible shape. Older golf course very fair course. One if my favorites
This course is dry year round
I picked this course as we had lots of rain lately and this course is dry year round. The fairways and greens were is great shape. The staff worked hard to move me up as I was a single. Pace was very slow to begin and then picked up half way through the first nine. Weather was dry but cool.
Amazing value
This course is always in great condition, even in the winter months. The greens run true and they are consistently making course updates/improvements. It’s usually pretty busy, but you really can’t beat the value for how well kept this course is.
Nce course but slow play.
Course was in good shape. The rough was the right length but the fairways a little long, so no roll out. Greens appeared to have been recently sanded and slow. Could use a marshall, pace of play was slow, had to wait on every hole. Group two ahead of us thought they were professionals or playing a tournament. Took forever for them to tee off and on the green. Obviously a problem, because a group behind us called it the Capital City crawl.
Good greens
The 3 of us met and played with a men’s club member who we all were impressed with - good player, personable, and informative
Bang for your buck!
Capitol City Golf Course is a very well manicured public golf course. Their rates are fantastic for the quality that you receive. Greens roll fast and true. Wide fairways and open under the trees should you stray off the fairway. I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to play a good round of golf on an excellent course.
Play
Had some very poor players in the two foursomes ahead of us, so, the round was slow. Otherwise it was good.
