About

White Bluff opened in the early 1990s along the shores of one of Texas’ most productive fishing lake, Lake Whitney, and now sports two outstanding Bruce Lietzke-designed courses, plenty of accommodations, and the resources to make your lake time productive while on weekend excursions to the area.

The Old Course, considered the easier of the two tracks because of its generous fairways, still features the majestic oaks that are so prominent to this region of Texas. The front side is flat and allows you the chance to get warmed up for the scenic back nine. This back side, highlighted by views of Lake Whitney, offers more elevation changes and Hill Country scenery.

No. 12 (400 yards) is tough because is plays uphill and requires the tee shot to carry water, but No. 13 is the signature--a 160-yarder that overlooks a ravine and the lake and is the perfect introduction to the creek that impacts play on the next few holes.

Great Greens, Fairways nice.

Course is in great shape Greens were fast and smooth. Fairways were in good shape. Some Bunkers were light on sand but were well groomed. It's a good course and worth the money.

The old course is in very good condition. Greens are true and roll very smooth. Lots of elevation change on the back with views of Lake Whitney. Would play again.

Love this course

I love this course and the layout. Only complaint was pace of play and that we were charged full price when greens had just been punched. It was like putting through bunkers due to the amount of sand on them, which is frustrating.

Great Experience!

We had a great time playing this course. The 1 hour drive was well worth it with the quality of the course and the overall experience. We expected it to be busy on a Saturday morning, but only saw other groups on the first and last holes. We will definitely be making this trip again!

Course was beautiful, well taken care of! Greens were fast but true! Had a 5-some slowing down pace on the back 9 and probably took an hour longer than it should’ve but overall it was a great experience.

WILL NOT ALLOW 1 GOLFER TEE TIME

This course WILL NOT allow you to book a single player tee time on the GOLF NOW app. Pretty ridiculous at this day and time. Every Course within 100 miles will allow you to on Golf Now. They need to get this fixed. Sure they will charge your card quick enough, but then reverse the transaction later on in the day. Makes zero sense.
