Squaw Valley Golf Course - Comanche Lakes Course

I enjoyed the course. The layout was good. The fairways are pretty wide so it makes it fairly easy. The course was in good shape. My only complaint is there is NO drinking water provided anywhere on the course. In this heat, that’s a problem.

The greens are fantasticly spongy and soft....the fairways are very much in great condition....really love playing here

Almost everything about Squaw Valley is off the charts! Nice pro shop, great practice facilities, two awesome courses, great staff, but why on earth would such a great facility refuse to provide water on the course all the while in Texas? Once you figure it out on the Links you come back by the clubhouse at nine and can get water. If you play the Lakes once you tee off you don’t come back till after your done playing.

The lakes course had big issues with the greens about a year ago. Well, not anymore. They rolled and looked great!

Bunkers not playable. Tees and rough need mowing. Fairways in good shape as were the green. Driving range was rough and needs some love

The greens are rough. They punched them, so sure, that's never fun, but they left so much sand on the greens, and the sand they used had small rocks in it. I think they just keep getting cheaper and cheaper. Maybe the rain has made it hard to do course maintenance, but most of the sand traps seem abandoned. There's no water on the course and the cart girl barely had any items when/if she came around. Overall though, it's been like this for a few years now. I doubt they change course unless they get a new manager. Probably won't go back again this year.

The course was decent. The bunkers were not in good shape at all. They are hard & foliage growing in the bunkers. The greens were patchy. The round took 5hrs11minutes. This should not happen. Spread the times further apart or be strict on players to pick up the pace.

Fun layout. Good staff. Coarse needs some maintenance. Greens were good if not for spotty areas of damage
