Excellent Course
This was an excellent course. A little challenging but overall I was very pleased with my experience. A super nice course.
Worth the drive
First time out to White Bluffs. Played the New Course. Greens were in excellent condition. Rolled a little slow but were true. Fairways were thick, mowed and green. Course layout is interesting and not a course that allows you to bomb driver every hole. The layout requires you to make shots, hit targets and plan ahead. I highly recommend looking at the hole description and layout on the card prior to hitting your tee shot. Using a GPS device would also be useful fittest time out. Very friendly staff, no crowds at all on this Sunday afternoon. Looking forward to playing again!
Nice Course for the Value
Challenging course, very nice staff. A little dry but should be great for spring.
Very nice course
The course is still in transition into spring/summer conditions, but is still in good shape. Greens are as good as it gets.
Beautiful Layout
Lots of water and bunkers.... Had to plan each shot. Lots of challenge but also lots of fun!
Spectacular layout ...
Passing through Whitney for a few days and google mapped this course. Absolutely perfect fall Saturday weather to play and the course did not disappoint. Spectacular layout requiring precision and decent length off the tee. Tons of water to deal with either off the tee or approaching the green. Greens are not that demanding once you are on them but they were rolling out nicely and can get away from you if you aren't careful. Very receptive to good chips and pitches. Super nice guy in the pro shop, all in all a fantastic day. A top notch course in any big city but a total gem out in the countryside.
Hidden gem!
Great course for a great deal. Conditions were excellent. No complaints at all. Greens could have been a little faster, but they rolled true. This course would be $80 plus in the metroplex.
Great Sunday
The Course, the staff, the food all an A+ expierence. My wife doesn’t golf much so she likes to golf where she feels comfortable and this is the place.
Fast play
I don’t understand why golfers think that play should be as fast as possible, I don’t like slow play, but I dislike super fast play, one question if you plan on playing golf do you only give yourself 3-31/2 hours to play? I don’t think 4-41/2 hours is to slow. When I plan on playing I plan on being at the golf course for 6 hours, warm up,sometimes to eat & maybe a beer after. If you’re playing with me and you think the faster the better, please play though, playing in 3-31/2 hours sorry I can’t play my game (I’m a 6.5 index hcp.) I think about my shot and read my put. Some people I’ve played with said I play a little slow (they card a 90+ and I’m waiting for them to play, now when a player with a15+ index plays from the tips (back tee) and drive the ball 225 yards. Now that’s hard to understand for me, I’ll play what tees the rest of the players are playing. I just enjoy being out playing & meeting other players, friends just enjoy playing golf and don’t be in a rush (you might play better)
