Cancun Country Club - El Tinto Golf Course

Played this course while visiting Cancun. The course was in good shape and staff was very friendly. Biggest knocks on the course would be the cost and the very out date golf carts.

Played in 2.5hrs ! Almost no one on the course. Very nice layout, greens a bit slow but overall very good condition.

Rental clubs were ok not the newest but fine.

Club house is very nice.

Very nice layout well maintained. By only complaint was there were wasp on holes 5-7. It hard to play golf while being chased. Shot a 93

Overall, very disappointing. The range was closed although not a single person was around. Very slow service before the round for food/etc. and other courses have free lunch and drinks on the course. Course was fine, nothing that would suggest it was TPC. It was on par with a low level muni course in the States - certainly not worth $190. I would suggest Iberostar instead.

This was a last minute idea when other plans fell through. A fine and challenging layout. The greens were somewhat pedestrian but eminently playable. I’d love to play it again; particularly if it was post the PGA event that’s held there.

Course layout and conditioning were great but the course had been heavily watered which produced mud balls on every shot thus making the course that much longer and harder to play

Rental clubs were old with aging grips and the whole set wouldn't sell for more than 300 but they charge 60 usd , which is a real rip off

Though nice wide fairways it does not mean easy. It’s long and bunkers are strategic and plentiful. 80 I’ve been told to be exact. Couple that with some unfortunate water hazards and you need to be a precise shot maker over 7000 yards. It’s difficult but a lot of fun. Will definitely play again.

Everything was great, condition of the course, greens run great and the staff excellent

Only thing was they heavily watered all the landing areas in front of the greens which made it more difficult to score

No driving range at 1:30, beverage cart service was good. Overall nothing special, not great for the price. Restaurant closed too. Overall condition was good but had just expected more for $150US.

Tough track. Plenty of water. Beautiful club house. Very friendly staff. Pace not good over five hour round. Not one ball washer had water in it on the entire course. Greens in fair condition. Need a bit more TLC. Surprised at the amount of trash in wooded areas.

Deep into the jungle but close to airport. Just don’t get on think you’re going to get a enuf reception to get an Uber for the ride back to civilization. Nice layout with wide fairways, water and lots of bunkers. The course, however was way too overwatered especially near the greens where if you hit slightly short, it would just plug your ball. The greens were smooth, but had too many debits from balls plugging. So my advices don’t water so much it’s not that hot in January.

No wifi beyond the clubhouse but I guess this helps you focus on your game instead of your phone 😂

Played this course three times. Discount fee 99US plus 20 for transportation to and from Dreams Natura. Tip not included

Course wants th appearance of a Country Club. Must wear proper golf attire (collared shirt, golf pants/shorts. Very strict on the 4.5-hour tee time. Fines for playing with range balls and fines for driving near the green.

As an avid golfer I do not have a problem with these rules as it keeps away the slow players

However, the condition of the course is not a Country Club feel at this time but does have the potential because its very well designed.

Golf course plays very long as fairways were wet. No roll from Driver. My average drive is 240. My Garmin was telling me 200-205 (no roll out). My first round was from the Blue Tees (6,800) my next two were from the White (6,300). Still needed a wood or hybrid for many approach shots and none of the par fives were reachable in two. Not a complaint, this is the most challenging part of the golf course. Just know that the longer clubs will be used more than 9, PW or GW

Fairways are wide open. Greens are large

Biggest complaint was the poorly maintained bunkers.

Greens, slow, bumpy at times. Could be time of the season, or I'm just not used to Bermuda.

Great service on all three days, After round one we each order a beer in the 19th and the chef gave us complimentary nachos with dip, a shot of one of the owner's brand of premium tequila (bottle sold for $118 US) and his personal spicy olives which were very good (he even gave us a cup full to take back to our wives at the resort). We ordered a second beer.

Great golf brand in the pro shop called Rich B (can't use the full word due to inappropiate language). Bought an RB golf shirt but passed on the tequila since is not my taste.

I found the service to be excellent, but some occasional golfers found the rules unnecessary and over the top. If you want to play in 5 hours or play in a T shirt. You better take a pass no matter what the price.

Overall, I found the course great value at the discounted price. It was great to hit some balls on a championship layout in December 20 minutes from the resort.
